I've been without carbs for five weeks. The only things I've been eating are protein powder, chicken breast, some lean ground beef and green beans. My fats are from almonds and olive oil. I've used two different brands of keto sticks, and both only show A slight trace of ketones. I would think I would be in full ketosis by now. Any thoughts?

Re: Keto trouble?
The sticks i have normally show that i am in ketosis around 5 days in. I know it can be different depending on the person but 5 weeks should be WAYY more than enough time to be in some serious ketosis lol. After being in ketosis for several days the levels of ketones in the body will lessen, but that doesnt mean you arent losing weight. It just means your body has found a balance and is no longer producing excess ketones. Also, exercising uses up excess ketones and if you are drinking a bunch of water then that can also dilute your urine, which can cause inaccurate results with the strips

Re: Keto trouble?
Also if you aren't taking in enough fats you won't go into ketosis. People often confuse low carb and ketosis. Fats have to be very high to get into true ketosis. You can still lose tons of fat without being in ketosis and just doing low carb. If fats aren't atleast 1/2 your cals everyday well then you have your answer why you aren't in ketosis.

That's got to be it. We started fat cycling 2 weeks ago so 2 days are no fat to 1 day with fats and that day is nowhere near the amount of calories you stated. Thanks. That's got to be it.
I've def burned a ton of fat off, just figured I'd be in ketosis.
