What kind of progress could be made by working out like you normally do and eating whatever you want (not binge eating but not counting macros or anything) and just making sure you get in your protein?

thats what i do most the time....i know i'd be WAY better off doing it the right way, but i'm cool with my progress...if i get a chance to post up pics i will...i'm not a monster, but i'm ok

Would you still lean down and not gain fat doing this? Basically, my buddy loves working out but hates watching what he eats. He's not a huge fata@@ but he's probably around 20%BF. He was asking about me counting calories and what not and he asked, "Man, is it really worth doing all that? Could you not just eat what you want, make sure you get your protein, lift, and still lose weight and not get fat?" I really didn't know how to answer it. I mean, I know that counting your calories and eating clean will get you there much faster.

since diet is so important to staying lean you wouldnt be able to stay under 12% unless you have freak genetics. I would assume you would have no issue keeping muscle as long as protien is high enough but you would be soft.

And I think that's what he means by lean. He doesn't really care about being sub 10 or anything. He just wants to look okay and not be 20%+

wish i had pics to post...i'm around 220...i get down to around 213 or so, you can see my abs, but i'm not "ripped"...i eat ice cream at night a few times a week and have reguler luncehes and dinners and protien shakes and shyt in between. i make sure to get a good pre and a good post workout shake in....but when i workout, this time of year, i never take more than 90sec rest and i do alot of double sets and giant sets!! i sweat my ass off!1 i walk all day, in my job, between 3 buildins...if you expending more energy than your taking in, you'll still get fit!!!

i can't do it, cause i have no governor, yeah, i might start out for awhile with some portion control but over time, portions would grow
my best friend still at good lean weight, yet, he never ever his whoe life has over eaten at any time, he's the guy has one burger and says oh wow i'm full, he also eats variety, where i do not
I am agree skip meal is not healthy habit try to take low carb diet for he weight loss.
In weight loss we do not take healthy diet which ruin our health so avoid this.
"eating what you want" means different things for different people too. If I were to just eat what I wanted my diet would consist of Pizza, Burgers, PB&J, and Chocolate Ice Cream.
