Even small changes in your diet can make a differerence. I think for some people that one change at a time is better than trying to change everythng at once. Now the next thing I want you to get rid of is that diet pop! Keep up the good work!

I agree! For example... You are going out with the guys or gals and you have your cheat meal all set up. Why order a cheeseburger when with lettuce, tomato and onion, you really don't taste the cheese. This saves 100-300 calories. Considering I meet with the guys at least every 2 weeks, this equates to 3 lbs per year. One of the "little changes" that can put you on the path to leanness :-)

I have just started doing this rather than a "diet." I am cutting back on my sugars and bread this week. That's pretty amazing that one change can give those kinds of results.

man i know what you mean fuzo. I have the biggest sweet tooth ever. Also i live with 2 guys that just eat whatever they want and don't workout. It really makes eating right and getting to the gym much much harder. Atleast with winter around the corner there won't be anythign else to do so that will help.

Re: 1 week without chocolate chips

I gave up a whole bunch of things this week in trying to get rid of daily, chronic headaches that I have been getting recently. (have had headaches forever, but lately, they are really painful).

So, this week I gave sugar, except for a few squares of 85% dark chocolate. I also gave up diet soda, which I was drinking 2 a day. (nothing horrible, but from what I read, enough to possibly be affecting my health in many ways)

I also am watching my gluten and dairy intake, not totally anal about it, but limiting it the best I can.

So far, I am feeling better! I still have my headache, but I cant imagine NOT having it. But, its no where near the intensity it had been for weeks at a time.

So, I am not sure if its giving up the sugar, the diet soda, or the dairy/gluten, but something is making me feel better. Havent been able to drop a damn ounce tho in weight, GRRR!!!

Anyways, good luck to all those giving up "something!"
