    The fresh juice of whole lemons contains many nutrients that are very beneficial to our health. Lemons are quite high in Vitamin C mixed with bioflavonoids, which is a powerful combination. They also contain some Vitamin A, potassium, niacin and thiamine. Lemon juice is an excellent antibacterial as well as a diuretic. It can bring down a fever, improve digestive disorders and relieve constipation. It can increase the alkalinity of the body. A mixture of lemon juice and water will purify the blood and cleanse the liver and kidneys. If used regularly, it will greatly enhance your health and give your skin a youthful glow.

    Step 1
    Cut and juice one lemon in a manual or electric juicer. Add the juice to 8 ounces of lukewarm, purified water. If you wish to relieve constipation, you may want to use warmer water.
    Step 2
    If you cannot tolerate plain lemon juice and water, you may add a little honey or maple syrup. Others may prefer agave. If you are diabetic or prefer a more beneficial sweetener, use stevia.
    Step 3
    Drink the mixture on an empty stomach first thing every morning. Some prefer to drink it before bed, believing that the body goes through its cleansing during the night.
