Keeping a diet can be a really difficult task. From cutting out foods you love to exercising on a regular basis to careful portion control, it takes a lot of work to shed even a little weight. Whenever a product comes along that makes dieting just a little bit less rigorous, you better believe it is worth checking out.

The Nutrition Label Scale is at once a clever gadget and a huge time saving accessory to keep in your kitchen. This particular scale displays 10 key elements (such as carbs, protein, fats, and sodium ) of any food you weigh. Being sold through sites Hammacher.com and Amazon.com for $49.99, Kitrics Nutritional Label Scale turns those baffling USDA charts into accurate information.

    Uniqueness

    AskMen.com score: 78
With a built-in database that includes nearly 1,000 different foods, plus onboard memory to store up to 100 more of your favorite exotic bites, the Nutrition Label Scale has a wide range of information necessary to keep you better informed about your eating habits.

The Nutrition Label Scale is accurate to within a single gram, and the measurements can be swapped between different systems with the touch of a button. For guys who are trying to maintain a strict caloric daily intake, the Nutrition Label Scale can tally all nutritional values throughout a meal or track your diet over the course of a single day.

The real advantage of the Nutrition Label Scale comes when using it with produce, meat or fruit, things that much of the times don’t come packaged with a nutritional label on it. The ability to just measure out a paddy of hamburger meat or a piece of fresh salmon and calculate the nutritional values into your diet plan is extremely easy and will help keep you motivated to eat healthy.

    Shelf Life

The Nutrition Label Scale is, without a doubt, a precision instrument. The stainless steel construction of the scale serves several purposes. The high-quality metal is not only long lasting, but also extremely easy to clean. One of the other unique properties of a stainless steel scale is that the metal will not allow for flavor transmission -- so your chicken will actually taste like chicken, rather than a handful of nickels. The entire gadget runs off of two double AA batteries, and the scale also features an automatic shutdown mode, which leads to longer battery life.

Everyone from bodybuilders to diabetics to guy’s who just want to shave a couple of pounds off before spring can find some usefulness out of the Kitrics Nutrition Label Scale. While type A personality dieters will have a field day with all the micromanagement for this item, this is a well-made and functional gadget that makes a solid purchase for just about anybody.

I am going to have to get this. I just use a plain scale, but this looks really helpful. I'll let you know how it is.

I never weigh anything..I just approximate, but this is a pretty cool scale. It might just prompt me to start and its very reasonable. Thank Mrs Baby for the info!

          Hi Baby1!

I bought this same scale at Target last year, I think for around $20.00. Unfortunately I only used it a few days, because I have no discipline whatsoever when it comes to weighing, measuring etc.

But, seeing your post, I am going to pull it out again, and see if I can stick to the weighing things. Only thing is, if I remember you program in certain codes that correspond with foods you eat all the time.

Since I havent used it in so long, I have no idea what codes are what.

But, time for me to get it out and see if I can stick to using it!

Hope you are are doing well,
