    Re: Help a poor guy!

Like the other guys have stated. I think you need to consume more to break through your difficulties and like bowbow said post workout nutrition should be a priority.

        Re: Help a poor guy!

thanks to everyone for all the comments....about the taining i do mix it up but i started mixing it up even more this week and im actualy hurting which is great...i lowered my weight just a little and adding a very light set after each normal set which just burns me, in a good way

as for the nutrition i will add more as you all requested but one more question should i eat lunch before or after my training ? and just add perhaps a double shake with oatmeal as a post workout ? oatmeal is easy for me to bring and doesnt cost much.

cheers to you all !! thanks to you guys im feeling like im getting that second wind.

          Re: Help a poor guy!

i think everyone's said everything that need to be said. Just to reiterate try to get about 40g whey after your workout with 100 grams of simple carbs (preferably waxymaize but could even be table sugar or white bread). Don't count this as one of your meals. Within the next 2 hours try to get a full meal, 6-8 oz of some kind of meat, eggs, whatever but make sure you eat a big meal withing 2 hours of your work out, this is your anabolic window when your muscles are primed for absorption and glycogen retention. Also the post-workout carbs will give you an insulin boost which is highly anabolic, another one within 2 hours is even better.

Best advice I can give you:
          Buy in bulk
          cook in bulk
          freeze it
          carry a portable cooler
it looks stupid but it gets the job done

I get 10-20lb of chicken at costco and some top sirloin, get home and throw all of it on my foreman with seasoning, meat I prepare black and blue so i can reheat later without overcooking. I leave enough in the fridge to last me a few days and freeze the rest.

At the same time I get a wok and start sauteing broccoli and peppers, and I do the same with spinach. Also make brown rice in my rice cooker. It all takes me about an hour and I have food for a couple of weeks
