    Found an old thread where you guys say that Dextrose (100 on the glycemic index) is the highest glycemic carb and will promote the best insulin response and in conjunction with whey protein it will yield the best recovery and potential for growth.

    Sooooooooo I went to bodybuilding.com and found a bag of Dextrose Corn Sugar...Would this be good to take immediately post workout!??? I mean if dextrose will bump up the insulin levels the best post workout than this should be ideal huh???

    Yes it would be. Sucrose (table sugar) is about an 80 of 100 on the glycemic index. Microcrystaline dextrose would be ideal for a post workout drink.

      Sweet bro!!! I am gunna buy a big bag off bodybuilding.com or somewhere and put a few scoops in my shake...check my other post bro its related to this VERY CONFUSED on the actual science behind boosting insulin after workouts!!!...so worried about doing it wrong and getting FAT!!!
