  • How Pure is the Protein???

What is the deal with the more "pure" the protein is or % protein by weight or whatever???

I am buying a shitload of protein tommorrow and they vary in price...so im tryin to determine if the quality is really worth paying more for whey!!!

BTW each brand has their own "special" way of doin all these procedures that make THEIR protein better sooooo anyways its pissin me off and was wondering what u guys thoughts on the subject were???

Re: How Pure is the Protein???

        Where to begin?...

There are many different types of protein and most companies when speaking of their protein will speak of bioavailability (the body's ability to absorb and effectivly use it). There are so many proteins and diffrent studies, it will make your head spin.
WHEY protein is probably (regardless of company) the most bioavailable protein there is. The only problem with whey is it enters and leaves the GI tract quickly making it useful mostly for a post workout drink.
CAESIN Still highly bioavailble like whey, but it clots in the small inestine and SLOWLY realeases amino acids to your body over a longer period of time then whey.
HOLD ON... Does anyone have a cut and paste for this so I don't have to wright the whole thing. I can go on for pages...
The bottom line is if you want an in between meal protein, get one that is either caesin or a mixture of it and other proteins. If you want a post workout drink, whey is the way to go. No pun intented
That's why I have two different kinds in my house. BTW some brands mix better then others without clumping so get some input from the guys on that.
