  • Daily food/snacks for on the go?

    Hey guys,

    what do some of you do for food during the day at work?

    I work in and out of peoples homes so alot of times it is hard for me to get my meals, protein and carbs in.

    I would like to ask if any of you have any ideas or recommendations. I usually eat protein bars, peanuts, bananas etc etc etc. pretty much anything that is related to protein carbs or aiding in weight training.

    Grind up some oats real fine and add some chocolate protein, put it all in a shaker bottle and just add water when you need some nutrients - tastes good but the uncooked oats and protein can be tough on my stomach, so you may want to eat half a banana or something prior to drinking it if it's tough on the gut.

      ^sounds good...i like ta grab a snikers, a natures valley bar and a muscle mix rtd..

        I like beef jerky or beef chunks when I'm in a hurry. I also do something similar to Klash, I'll dump some oats, Quinoa is the best imo, few scoops of protein, banana, milk or water and some ice, it's good stuff and got all ya need in it.

          nuts or a pb&j sandwich is the best...this is my life people...on the go. I do not have the luxury of eating a meal every few hours..i work underground, and dinner time is scarce. I eat what i can, when i can, and a good old pb&j sandwich is hard to beat, for both convinience, and quality.

            When you leave the house in the morning you should pack a cooler. I put all of my meals in ziplock containers. Usually its 10oz of ground turkey, some red kidney beans, and maybe some rice. I can eat it hot or cold...don't matter to me.

            Also, the finely ground oats and whey in a shake is awesome. It sucks when you can't clean your cup right away though. Its sticks like an SOB.

                Buy some meal replacement shakes. Get some pita-bread with low carbs ...usually Arabic stores have them at best.. and put some tuna...lowfat mayo...or whatever and just eat.
