5-HTP all the way. When I came out of the party scene I had really messed up levels of Seratonin. I got on 5-HTP and in less than 2 weeks I was my happy old self. I stayed on for like 6 weeks and that was too short. I went back to being less happy real quick. Now, since you are coming out of what I was, I would probably do something like 6 on, 2 off. The whole purpose of this supp is to regulate your natty levels. It's a temporary crutch, not a permanent supp, IMO.
Also, I would go with a higher dose than 50 mg if you any kind of mild depression. 50 mg wont do anything unless you are normal. lol Whatever that means.
I never had any nightmares from it personally but I get crazy nightmares from Melatonin.I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

I got some 5-htp today cause I have sleep issues. Im going to try it for a good 4 weeks and get back to regular sleeping patterns. Hopefully this and cutting down to 260 will help regulate sleep. I have never really had any mood problems until recently and thinking it has to do with relying on sleep meds and being groggy all day, then the cycle repeats. Then if you dont take them you dont sleep and you feel like shiit....I wish I could be like my GF who can go to bed at 11pm and sleep in till 9am and NOT GET UP ONCE!!!! LUCKY AZZ!!!! LOLComment
