  • What does your bulk diet look like?

    Just curious what everyone's bulk diet looks like?

    Also how many pounds do you average with that diet?

      What he said, I just kind of eat and eat. But I do make it a point to use Flax seed oil since despite being calorie dense. The Omega fatty acids (from what 'net research tells me) encourages some degree of fat burning

        well when i really want to bulk i will build one meal that contains around 1000 cals and 70 or better grms protein and eat that 6 times a day and thats it. Like 2 chicken breast, large potato,2 banana,big glass milk=probably around 900 cals and 80 or better on the protein so i would consider that 6 times a day to be a bulk diet. Of course this depends on your size.

            im always trying to bulk..lately ive been gaining weight, but i personally dont care about adding a little fat..If i were you i would just eat everything you could..Obviously try to eat alot of chicken and other meat for protein.. also lots of potatoes, cheese, eggs, pasta, milk and peanut butter are good.

            I dont feel that you need a specific diet, just stick to the bulking foods and increase the amount your eating or add in an extra meal or two.

              When I bulk I will sometimes eat mass quantities of food.
              But what I find puts weight on me more is less frequent meals.
              I belive it actually slows my metabolism down a bit as opposed to 6-8 meals a day.
              But I do increase the amount of fats, such as more whole eggs, etc.
              A dozen whole eggs is not out of question when bulking.

                Well I'm trying to gain my weight back. It seems impossible. I've been trying for quite some time now, and my weight is like a damn rollercoaster. Plus the more I eat, the more I shiit! So it's almost as if my body is refusing to let me retain weight!

                I eat egg beaters every morning,

                a shake in the morning an hour after breakfast.

                A full lunch like Spicy chicken sndwch & bacon and cheese potato at Wendys, or a half loaded sub with rice.

                Some type of snack in between.

                Dinner I eat a whole steak or chicken, with one side (big portions)

                Snack I eat chips or something

                Late night I eat a whole steak or chicken with rice

                before bed I drink another shake

                  Usually, it goes like this:

                  1 - Shake w/ some fruit
                  2 - Shake w/ some fruit
                  3- Whole food meal
                  4- Shake w/ some fruit
                  5- Whole food meal
                  6- Whole food meal
                  7- Micellar Casein Protein Shake before bed

                  Some days vary depending on my schedule but basically, I try to get at least 4,000 cals when bulking. It adds on a lot of weight but the fat comes on too. It's basically and higher cal version of what I did in HS. In HS I weighed 140 when I walked into 9th grade and weighed 190 to 195 when I graduated. I would bring a sandwhich or two with me everyday and eat on teh halves between every other class. If I was playing a sport I would eat a whole sandwhich (usually Tuna w/ Spinach leaves) before the last class of the day to give me something extra before practice. It's basically all about the cals. If you burn them easily then you need a lot of them. I had a roommate who was 6'5" and about 210 with 5-6% BF year round. I kid you not. This guy would out eat me any day of the week and stayed ripped. The fattest he ever got was like 8% one time when he got lazy and didn't workout for a few months. That kind of metabolism needs a ton of cals to gain weight.
                  I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

                    make your snack into mini meals, 500+ cals, and add on to your breakfast maybe a banana and some hash browns...i know my advice isnt too scientific but this is what works for me.

                        You can adjust to portions to fit your caloric needs, but that is how I construct my diets. I never compete so I never really need to cut. I just adjust my carbs and my cardio as I am building so that I don't get too fat.

                        7:00am (shake)
                        1 Cup Liquid Egg Whites
                        1 Cup Nonfat Milk
                        1 Scoop ON Chocolate Whey
                        1 Cup Ground Oatmeal

                        10:00am
                        12oz 90% Lean Ground Beef
                        1 Cup Vegetables (whatever you like)
                        1 1/2 Cups Brown Rice

                        1:00pm
                        12oz 90% Lean Ground Beef
                        1 Cup Vegetables (whatever you like)
                        1 1/2 Cups Brown Rice

                        4:00pm
                        12oz 90% Lean Ground Beef
                        1 Cup Vegetables (whatever you like)
                        1 1/2 Cups Brown Rice

                        5:15pm
                        Work Out

                        6:30pm (PWO)
                        2 Scoops ON Chocolate Whey
                        3 Scoops Malto/Dextrose Powder

                        7:00pm
                        12oz 90% Lean Ground Beef
                        1 Cup Vegetables (whatever you like)
                        1/8 Cup Dry Roasted Almonds

                        10:00pm
                        1 Cup Liquid Egg Whites
                        1 Scoop ON Chocolate Whey

                            i dont really "plan"...i change things up but try to keep around the same nutriants.
                            example...
                            breakfast
                            1 scoop protien shake. (added glutamine)
                            4 egg whites, 1 whole egg.
                            1 bagel w/jelly
                            multi's
                            o.j.
                            around 10 am.
                            rtd (muscle tech or large eas)
                            apple or bannana

                            12:00-12:30
                            large turkey sandwich on wholegrain, or subway
                            some baked chips
                            apple or bannana

                            2-2:30
                            rtd (muscle-tech or large eas)
                            couple oz. of almonds
                            peanutbutter and jelly sandwich

                            4:30-5
                            post w/o shake

                            6-630-dinner
                            a couple chicken breast or porkchops, steak, whatever..
                            veggies
                            some kind of potatoe or rice

                            9-9:30
                            pre bedtime shake 2 scoops probolic sr (mhp), 1 tbs peanut butter
                            or, if out
                            2 scoops casin protien w/1 tbs peanut butter

                            i dont know what all that totals, but i adjust every couple weeks depending on the mirror, up the carbs, lower the carbs, up the fat, and so on
