Flax Seed Oil

I want to start taking Flax. I have been taking Fish Oil gel caps to get my Omega 3's but they are pricey in comparison. I looked at Super-Walmart and they seemed to have everything except Flax in actual liquid form. They had many brands of Flax gel caps though. I suppose I could have missed the liquid Flax but I dont think so.

My Question: Are the gel caps just as effective and also where can I get some good quality Flax Oil for a decent price. It seems buying the oil in liquid form would be cheaper but maybe not.

I would rather down a tbsp of liquid than a handful of pills. Flax tabs are pretty good sized.

booo.....also boooo on gel caps. no fillers, however to equal the 2 tbls/day of liquid flax, you have to pop 12-16 caps (depending on the brand) i guaren-damn-tee that liquid version will be more efficient and less of a hassle. i take health fromt the son. vitaglo has the high lignan flax 16oz for 9.09 while you will find the same product for 10 at other places such as dps, massnutrition, musclemagnepa, etc. (ps if you want, the HFTS version of omega-3 flax will be cheaper than the high lignan flax. 9.09 compared to 5.99) Sage

Whats a good amount of Flax to take in daily? In mg ?

Get it in the liquid form (much cheaper). Take 3-4 tablespooons daily. Barleans is an excellent brand. Keep it refrigerated.

Try Vitamin world in the mall or something.

I take hempseed oil, higher in omega 6. Walnut oil is a good ratio of 6-3.

Udos makes a blend that contains GLA, very nice.

Don't give up on the fish oil. Kilosports has it cheap.
