  • 10 Minute Rice Good?

I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THERE IS A NUTRIRIONAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGULAR BROWN RICE AND THE PRE COOKED 10 MINUTE RICE? THANKS

  • #2
white rice is bad carbs, you get better nutrients with brown. More fiber as well.

The 10 minute rice is- FO SHO- not nearly as nutritional as 20 min. white rice. But, what Rado said is exactly right. White rice are not good carbs. Not good carbs meaning they cause a greater spike in your insulin levels in your body; as well as they digest much faster causing you to be hungry sooner. Brown rice digests much slower, and does not cause nearly the spike whit rice does.

I agree. I love to throw a couple beef boulion cubes in my brown rice while it cooks. MMMmm, good!
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

Me too. My biggest complaint about brown rie is that it takes forever to cook...

Actually, when it is pre-cooked the some nutrients are lost in the first cooking and some more in the second.
