Re: answer me this
I don't think it's a matter of too much. I think that your body takes in and processes something like 30-35g of protien in one sitting. The rest it sends to the shitter. I know everyone's body's vary, but I'm almost positive I read that somewhere. Maybe someone can chime in and verify that.

Re: answer me this
It's all based on the individual. The higher you anabolic levels the more you will digest, the lower your level, the less you will digest, in a single sitting that is. I know from personal experience than I can do about 60 grams a mill max but some people are limited to less by the nature of their body. I'm not a small guy, whether I use or not, I stay in the 230's at 5'10" with no effort at all. So, I probably have higher anabolic levels that some guy who is 5'10" and 180 normally. That guy might only be able to digest 40 grams a meal.
Here's what I do know, when it comes to any type of food you have to look at the gastric emptying times of the food. For example, fruit digests quickly, fat digests very slowly. So, if you eat a meal that's high protein and high fat you will need to spread the time between meals out. Liquid meals usually have a gastric emptying time of about 35 minutes so you would want to eat soon after a shake.
Here's how my typical day might look:
Meal 1 shake
Meal 2 whole food (within 45 minutes to 1 hour of meal one)
Meal 3 shake
Meal 4 whole food (same as above)
Meal 5 whole food (3 hours aftermeal 4)
Meal 6 whole foor or shake (3 hours after meal 4 - if it's a shake then I do 50 grams of Micellar Protein for slow digestion and add 30 grams of whey protein for quicker absorbtion)
Never drink just whey protein before bed, it will digest too quickly, always use Micellar Protein. I think it's actually Micellar Casien Protein. It's very expensive but it digests over a 6-7 hour period which is perfect for bed because you digestion slows down when you sleep also. By doing this you don't wake up in the morning looking flat. Because it digests so slowly I will sometimes put in like 120 grams of protein and let my body digest that throughout the night. Again, it's expensive but well worth it. The only other option is to eat a large whole food meal before bed. But, I don't like that becauseyou body spends too much energy digesting the food in stead of healing your body and you wake up tired or you don't get the recoupe you really needed from your workouts.
That's my opinion on the matter and it's worked for me. You can get Micellar Protein for about $25-$30 a container if you shop around, but make sure is says "micellar" or you are wasting your time. IMO
