  • Hows this for not mixing carbs and fats?

    B/c of my new work schedule it would be hard to do a carb cutoff. So what about just eating carbs with protein and fats with protein. Something like this:

    1. Small Oatmeal and whey shake so Im not doing cardio in (starvation mode?)
    cardio
    2. Oatmeal/eggwhites (or should I just use whole eggs?)/whey/FF organic yogurt/banana/FF milk shake
    3. Low Sodium Albacore tuna can with 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp of bal vinager/4 g fish oil
    4. Chicken breast/rice or WW bread/black beans/veggies
    5. Same or close to meal 4
    weights
    6. 50g whey 25g dex 25 g malto
    7. same or close to meal 4
    8. whey/4 whole eggs /4 g fish oil right before bed

    Something like that? I dont know....I used to have all this down but with the long hours Im working now and the intense work Im all screwed up. I used to just go to the gym in the mid-day and then not eat carbs for the rest of the day but now I work till 7pm or so and dont leave the gym till 9 ish so I dont think cutting carbs is a good idea.

    1. is ok.
    2. pick either egg whites and a carb, or egg whites and a fat. not both.
    3. fine.
    4. ditch the ww bread, just stick with either rice or veggies.
    5. fine
    6. bump dex and malto to 50g each.
    7. fine
    8. fine

    make proper adjustments and its fine.

      Ok sounds good. How long do I have to wait in between fat protein meals and carb protein meals? Today was about 2.5 hours to 3.5 hours in between each meal. Not doubting you at all but have others seen results from this type of cycling? Also what about my cardio only days? Should I eat lower carbs on those days?

            the whole protein/fat protein/carb refers to each meal. that meaning, in EACH MEAL either a pro/fat or pro/carb meal, do NOT have a meal with pro/carb/fat, see wut i mean? so meal 1,3, and 5 can be protein/carb meals, and 2,4,6 can be protein/fat. just make sure when you have your protein/carb meals (granted you're trying to stay lean) don't go nuts on teh carbs. i wouldnt' exceed about 30-40g per meal.
