    I'm with Tmann, when lifting in the morning i do it on an empty stomach. A shake, a piece of fruit or a yogurt and thats it. At least an hour before. I'm a slug if i do it any other way.

    Oh and i get off of work at 9pm and lift at 5:30 am....so you can do it Crombie, just give it a good week or so and you'll be ok...

      Mornings' are great ! get it all done then enjoy the rest of the day.
      Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

        I always train at 4:30 AM when my gym opens unless work interferes. Gets my workout out of the way for the day and USUALLY only like minded hard training people are there at that hour, no social butterflies or wanna be pros.
        You may not recognize your mom when you get home, I shaved her back.

          I have heard this over and over..Contrary to popular belief, working out on an empty stomach is not good, especially if doing cardio. Your body will try to hold off burning your bodies stored fat because of it being its only energy source, and later in the day your body will compinsate for taking in more fat from the food you eat. If you eat a good breakfest before working out, then your body will not be scarificing its stored fat because of lack of fuel and go to the fat quicker. I don't know if iam explaining correctly, but i have not only read this, but heard it from more than on pro trainer.

            not me...no way! workout 6-630 every night. i've tried mornings, just dont work for me. cant get up early enough. would have to get up at 330 or so!

              yeah I wish I had the time did it a few times had great workouts ! gotto open my store at 6am lots of alcoholics waiting in line !

                Im not working out in the mornings anymore. Screw that, I have a hard enough time getting to work at 7-8 am. Go check out my new thread about what Im doing with the new job/diet/training.
