  • Cutting and Casein?

Ok so Im trying to cut up and have always thought cottage cheese before bed was a good choice because of the slow burning casein protein in it. Some bros say no dairy at all even though the cottage cheese was my only dairy intake, I'll stop using it.

Ok so my question is on using these PM protein shakes. Most of them say casein as the main protein source, does that mean that they have dairy in them or is the casien like derived from the product somehow?

The last 2 nights I've jst had a muscle milk shake with some glutamine in it. I dont know what is right, help!!

Well Whey protein is derrived from milk as well, but is not really considered dairy.

The same applies for Casein I would think.

Don't use the Muscle Milk b4 bed Cromb, it has too much fat. Use a higher absorbtion whey like isolate or the hydro. I always take a shot of apple cider vinegar mixed with alittle honey and cranberry juice (4oz). I think it helps with the breakdown of fat . Also, i hope you are using the low-fat cottage cheese.? I have used the casein protein and i don't know if it was just me, but i seemed to retain more bf off it, so i switched back to isolate.

Yeah - I didn't catch that muscle milk part.

I only drink those during the winter when I can afford to carry some extra pounds. Too tattning - but they are good...

PM protein shakes NEED to have Micellar Casein protein. It's the longest digesting protein. There is a big difference between Micellar and regular Casein. Mine takes like 6-8 hours to completely absorb. It's expensive, but it's the best.

Ok I'll lose the Muslce Milk. My Isolate should be here tommorow. I eat the fat free cottage cheese. I am losing weight though, I had a friend come into the restaurant today and he said, "wow, you've lost a ton in your face". Made me feel good, I didnt think my face was ever fat though. Ha.
