Okay, here's the dealio.. my older sister who's 34, is 5'10", and weighs around 220lbs (yikes I know, but she doesn't look like she weighs that much!!) has a major (once in a lifetime experience) coming up on the 15th of Feb. She wants to lose as much weight as possible, and, as much as I've tried to steer her in a healthier direction, insists that crash dieting is the only way to do it.
I'm not too familiar with the best "fast weight loss fads" going around, but she's thinking of doing the Atkins diet. After reading his book (skimming would be more like it) It doesn't sound good at all...
Does anyone have any suggestions as far as to get her the goals that she's looking for, without killing her metabolism (or giving her a heart-attack??)
She rarely goes to the gym (maybe once a week) and is a VERY busy mommy of 4 (all under the age of 10) but tries to walk often. She doesn't think she has the time to add any gym time to her schedule right now.
I dunno. I'm kinda stumped myself.
I don't think she can lose more than about 10lbs by the 15th, but then that's doing it the "safe" way.
Hoping you guys can give some input on this one, I will supply all the info that I can. TIA!!
