Which is better Ritalin or Adderall, at fat burning?

I've taken both but niether for long enough to really tell. I understand both drugs and the chemical pathways they use. I was just wondering if anyone had facts comparing the two for weight loss and athletic performance.

bro don't use those for burning fat all they do is suppress your appittie and they can be additive i know! adderall you will not eat at all there for you will lose muscle also, and there is a change at getting additated!

Thank you for the concern. I appreciate it but I do not want it. I asked a simple question, "which of the two is better at burning fat?" I didn't ask for motherly advice and the dude who said "why not diet," was acting awfully queer when he said that.
I have ad/hd and I am perscribed my choice of adderall or ritalin. They both work the same for me as far as concentration goes. I am only asking which is better for fat loss and athletic enhancement. I figured it to be COMMON SENSE to get every benefit out of a drug that you are taking. If I buy an amphetamine/amphetamine congener, as perscribed every month, I want to get full benefit from it, as to put my hard earned cash to good use.

Well, firstly, I have been coming here for 2 years and posting for a year and a half. Yes, I only have 40 or 50 posts to my credit but I have read thousands. I don't come on here 10 or 15 times daily and post on everything to get my post number up. If I had 2500 posts next to my name it wouldn't make me any more credible. In the past FG members have been very helpful. They have answered my questions staying on topic.
Nowhere in my original post did I say that I was taking these drugs for weight loss reasons. I was only asking the stats on them and which was more effective. So I didn't need any dieting advice. I am a college wrestler and an MMA fighter. Weight loss is key in both of these sports. I'm not a chemist but I would guess that amphetamines would make you lose weight from the stimulant effects. I could be wrong about this. At the same time if I had 5,000 posts to my credit I would still be here with the same lack of information.
To the google search comment, I used the FG search box to search the terms; adderall, amphetamine, methylphenidate and ritalin. All searches returned minimal results.
My apologies to any one who thought I sounded like a prick. I was actually quite agravated at the responses, so it is understandable why I came across that way. If someone walks up to you and asks which way it is to the gym and you tell them," go home, do some push ups and sit ups becuase you don't need the gym," that would be fairly rude and condensending. It is equally as rude to tell some one to go diet, when they are asking for drug facts on a drug and supplement forum.
I regularly attend mma.tv, worldclassbodybuildin and FG for the last couple of years. I probably have less than 500 comments on the three combined. This is due to the fact that I do not consider myself an expert on most subjects that arise. I simply read inquiries and also the replies from those who are more educated and qualified to tackle the questions. If something comes up that is in my area of expertise then I give my input. I am not here to get 10,000 posts or to be considered a "regular." I come here becuase weight lifting, body building and personal fitness are great interests of mine.
If God blesses us with the knowledge of how to apply pharmacueticals to improve ourselves in these areas it would be foolish not to put this education to good use. I know that diet and exercise is the key to fat loss. I am not as certain as to what help adderall and ritalin might provide. That is all that I was asking.

I understand where you're coming from now MR. What weight class are you wrestlingat in college? I wrestled in college as well. What school?

Anyway, I did do a search on google when you had asked and I did come up with plenty of info; you just have to word it correctly.

I never oncer said or assumed because you have few posts that you were a newbie, not me. You have been here for sometime and I pretty much know all the names since I've been here from day 1.

I tend to come off as a prick(which I'm not in real life) and my appology to you if I did. Usually my posts get taken the wrong way because I'm blunt and to the point.

If you want to talk to me or us about certain kind of meds, then do so. Now here's my question for you; If you don't plan on taking these drugs, then why did you ask the question? Was this information for someone else? Or just to know more about it.

I already take Adderall because it is perscribed to me for concentration/ day dreaming problems. I used to take ritalin for this but stopped for safety reasons.
In my experience ritain gave me more energy and better concentration but I was as high as a kite, 24/7. This posed a problem because my job is dredging the Columbia River. Dredging is the 4th most dangerous profession, according to OSHA, so it is not the safest place to be high all of the time. I aksed to switch to Adderall for this reason.
I start school and wrestling in two weeks and I am also training for a fight in December. I will be at school and not working under cranes and a-frame boats suspending loads weighing thousands of pounds. So since I wont be working daily in a dangerous environment I can handle being high at school if ritalin would help me more in my weight loss than adderall. That is assuming that either of them are "fat burners." I assumed this because they both are catalysts for epinephrine,norepinephrine and dopamine. I also thought they were considered CNS stimulators and might work similarly to ephedra with caffiene. All uneducated assumptions.
My doctor allows me to choose between adderall and ritalin. They both work great for my concentration. I was only wondering if one worked better for weight loss. I weigh 215-220 but I wrestle at 197lbs. Any help in losing weight is to my advantage and if a drug that I take daily could help then that would be a bonus. Thanks

Although I have never used adderol or ritalin myself, I know a girl that somehow got her doctor to let her try both aderol and ritalin. a couple years ago. She told him it was to study. she didnt have a study problem, but she did use them only for the purpose of losing weight. She wasnt being healthy about it, but it was better than how she originally started off doing it, trust me. in short, she said adderol worked better for her. But since she didnt have add or adhd i dont know what the effect would be for you. but regardless, both speed you up so if you find the one speeds you up too much, just use it when you dont have to work. Adderrall is much stronger and will definitely curb your appetite more than ritalin. Just be careful though.... HIGHLY addictive, and you'll be tempted to abuse it if you don't stick to your prescription.
