  • CKD diet, carbs post workout or not?

    hey everyone.. i'm on a CKD diet right now (and liking it btw.. can definitely see a change) and i was wondering what you all think about taking carbs post workout.. or should i just stick to the protein/flax shake post workout? when bulking i usually toss some oatmeal in a coffee grinder and mix it in with some protein.. any suggestions would be appreciated
    ..::considerately killing me::..

    You can take some carbs (@ 20 grams) after workout and you won't get out of keto. Don't count this carbs in your daily intake.

        Yea - 20 would be ok. Just make it something like dextrose. NOT FRUCTOSE.
        The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

            I dont think I would. 20G is about all I take in a day, and I would rather not take it all post workout. It really doesnt make a big difference on keto anyways.

              If you are in ketosis already, 20g of dextrose post workout should not knock you out of ketosis. All 20g will go to muscle glycogen, not liver glycogen. You will not go out of ketosis unless it spills over to liver glycogen. Fructose on the other hand will convert to liver glycogen.

                in ketosis, max carbs is 20-30, take them throughout the day, but if you want PW is prolly the best time (or in the morning)

                cheers
