ATF Fitness Products, Inc. is recalling BioPharm brand T-Cuts, a dietary supplement, because it contains tiratricol, also known as triiodothyroacetic acid or TRIAC. TRIAC is a potent thyroid hormone that may cause serious health consequences including heart attacks and strokes. Luckily, no illnesses have been reported to date. ATF Fitness Products, Inc. and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) are urging all individuals who may have purchased this product, or any product containing tiratricol, to stop using them immediately and to consult their health professional if they are experiencing any adverse effects, which may include insomnia, nervousness, sweating, and diarrhea. The T-Cuts was
distributed nationwide to retail stores and through mail order. T-Cuts is packaged in 90-count capsules in white bottles with black lettering. All lot numbers are affected by this recall.
