  • DIET GURUS, I NEED UR HELP

    i'm trying to gain muscle and get to around 6% BF... I'm around 8% right now... i'm 5'8'' tall and 200LBS (give a few)... i am "ON" currently.. . I JUST STARTED THIS DIET.. the diet i was on before was probably MORE protein and MORE carbs... i just didnt realize i was getting so much heheh

    heres what ive been getting

    carbs: 225-235 (NOT COUNTING PWO CARBS...ALL LOW GI)
    protein: 425-435 (coutning PWO protein)
    fat: 50-60 grams

    is this a sound diet for my goals?

        Thats c.3220 calories a day, figure your basal metabolic rate and gauge it from there.

        BTW- High GI carbohydrates arent bad post workout, even if youre cutting.

          i do believe he meant everything but his pwo, which consists of dextrose.

            Correct, sorry i did not specify... i get 74 grams of dextrose pwo...wait for my slin to spike and get 80grams of whye 15 min after

                    if you cut anymore down I would make it in the protein area but that is just me....my body doesnt respond well to that high of intake, when i diet i keep my carbs and protein right about the same amounts. Def dont take your fat any lower that looks good to me....I would say if anything maybe cut the protein down a smidget but you said you were on so this may not apply here. Looks pretty descent to me....i dunno if you do this or not but if you do cardio do it in the morning on an empty stomach and I really think you can tell a difference. looks sold bro if you arent dropping like you hope i would down the protein a tad (300-325g) and maybe carbs to 200g. Watch your sodium too. 8%-6% is alot harder then say 12%-10% imo. good luck

                      also taking two or three days off of dieting isnt a bad thing as long as you dont go overboard. It helps stoke the furnace. If you hit a stand still try it but just dont go haywire.
