  • Getting back into the habbit.

I hurt my knee and shoulder from a bike accident. Im 90% right now. I lost some muscle and gained fat. Starting to get a little depressed (normal to feel that way i guess) my question is this... What do you all think about starting on a glutamine/creatine cycle on my first workout? Should i lift for a few weeks then get on it? or is it fine to get on it from the start? Thanks.

glutamine/creatine is fine to run as soon as you start working out again. Make sure you are getting enough water and protein, too.

i would lift a few weeks and get your strength back up before you look for a boost from anything.

glutamine/creatine are amino acids, start them as soon as possible, the first weeks are the toughest, anything natural will help, take a good multivit too

No need to wait for the aminos. The creatine will not give him a "boost" that will provoke re-injury. It may just make him retain a bit of fluid which is a good thing.

I would say definately supplement with the AA's with of course protein and lots of water, the creatine would not hurt at all- but you might have a better idea of it its doing its thing for you if you first got back into things for a few weeks..
