  • Whats the BEST diet for a BODYBUILDER looking for MAXIMUM FATLOSS?

There's so many diet's out there it's really confusing when trying to pick the right one. What type of diet is the best for ULTIMATE FATLOSS for a bodybuilder? I've read about so many. TKD ,CKD ,MKD ,Atkin's ,Mr.X's "The NOT so Natural FAT-FAST diet!" ,ect.... or would just your basic high protein ,low fat ,and carbs diet be the best? Im looking for MAXIMUM FATLOSS ,a diet that could also be used during contest preperation. All without the usual fatloss aid's such as DNP ,clen ,bromo ,T3 ect... Im not against using these fatloss aid's ,I just want to know what the best diet is for fatloss before adding such thing's into the mix. I want to get my bodyfat percentage as low as I possibly can "naturally" (hopefully around 6-7%) before I start to use thing's like DNP ,clen ,T3 ,ect... to get my bodyfat to an insanely low level such as a TRUE 4% or so. I dont need help planning a diet for myself ,I can do that just fine once I figure out which diet I want to do. I just need help deciding which diet to go with. Again Im looking for a bodybuilder's diet that will result in MAXIMUM FATLOSS. Im not too concerned with muscle loss as I will use AAS to combat that. Any help any of you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If some of our resident experts will chime in with protein to fat ratios I think that the zero carb diet would be best for fatloss. I've always been on the fat side so I'm really no expert, but with everything I've read I would have to agree that zero carbs is the way to go.

Ive recently read that 0 carb type diets are really unhealthy and should only be used for a short time to drop those last few pounds.

Im still not quite sure what the best way to go is. Everyone seems to having different opinions on what type of diets are the best and healthiest.

I think Im just gonna do a high protein ,low fat and carbs diet ,with carbs in the AM. With lots of cardio. Probably twice a day 5 times a week. Once in the AM before breakfast ,and after workouts on training days ,and before bed on non-training days. Ill see how far this can take me. Once I hit a plateu maybe Ill try a keto type diet for a short while. Then hit up some DNP.

0 carb diets are horrible for a BBer. You need carbs to fuel your muscles. 0 carb diets are VERY catabolic. IMO, the best BBer diet is similar to a TKD, but never actually going into ketosis. CKD's are ok - but I tend to loose a lot of muscle while using the CKD approach. I recently put together diets for BigSoda, and BeachGirl - talk to them if you want to see what I recommended...
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

CKD seems to work well...and without much muscle loss. But to tell the truth, low carb REALLY didnt make me lose more then high carb low fat, it just got rid of the water weight faster.

I loose weight at the same rate with either diet once water weight is balanced into the equation. I read a couple abstract studies a few months ago that demonstrated this.

I agree. And regardless of diet, carbs still need to be controlled. If you are consuming 300g of carbs a day, you will have a tough time losing weight. I take in about 100g a day and I loose about 2-2.5lbs a week.

Capricorn. You should look at the following IMO.

Your daily routine (is your job physically active)
Are u an ez gainer? (fat and muscle)
How do you react to carbs? (feel big after a high carb meal gain size ez on flour foods etc)

If you answer yes to any of them, then very low carb diet would probably be the best for you. I meet the above criteria (except my job is very physically inactive) so I also have to control calories on top of keeping my carbs in the 50-60g /day.
If you're an ez gainer then don't worry about losing muscle. You won't, and if you do it will be minimal and outweighted by the lose of fat. Just do cardio 5 x wk 20-30 mins at med intensity and you’ll see the pounds melt away. You may have to lower your weight while lifting a bit because you won’t have as much energy.
