  • I need an "on the go" diet (BAD)

As a prison guard working in a multi-building complex, every day is COMPLETELY different from the next, except for my breaks. I DON'T GET ANY! The typical officer is SUPPOSE to get one 20 mintue break in an eight hour day. I'm lucky if I get that. I also have little access to a microwave. 90% of the time I'm constantly moving, only getting a chance to take a breather every now and then. The other 10% I might be stuck behind a computer ALL day. I NEVER know until I get there, which sucks as a person seeking the "bodybuilder" physique. I've tried packing 3 or 4 dishes of the usual brown rice, chicken breasts, veggies, etc....but it just doesn't work out. The only thing I'm able to consume completely, whenever I want, is a protien shake, or beef jerky Whats a good meal plan for the main eight hours of my day? I'm thinking a few well balanced meal replacment shakes would be PERFECT. The only meals I'm in complete control of is breakfast, which would be around 12pm, and and everything between 12am to 4am. I usually workout as soon as I get home at midnight, then hoard as much protien as I can before I crash. Not to be picky, but a good fat loss and a seperate bulking recipe would be nice. I'm 21, 6'4", 245 pounds. I'm not fat by any means, but I do have the usual gut chub, which I'm dying to shed. Somebody PLEASE help, it really sucks having what I think is a "perfect" workout routine without a sufficient diet to back it up. Any ideas, thoughts, opinions, or demands are welcome, and greatly needed. Have a nice day, and I hope I don't have to see you at work one day!

          What about:
          Tuna pouches
          Canned chicken breast
          granola
peanut butter(out of the jar using a spoon)
          protein bars
canned Chunky Soup with ez open lid
          V8 juice
          PB&J sandwiches

You may not get the "perfect" mealplan with this list, but they are easily consumed.

Another suggestion: hard-boiled eggs. Eating 4 of them on your break gives you about 24g of pure, high-quality protein(and if you eat only the whites--no fat or cholesterol!)
"If any man is in Christ he is a new creation. Old things are passed away, behold, all things are made new"--II Corinthians 5:17

"I am speechless in Your presence now
I'm astounded as I consider how
                    You have shown us
                    A love that leaves us
                    Speechless"

Browned and seasoned ground beef and brown rice in a giant rubermaid container. Add a couple of tbsp. of olive oil.

To add on NewCreation's suggestion...hard boiled eggs are great source of protein but be sure to separate them from the shell before you come to work. You can easily stash 12-18 eggs in a large ziplock bag and chow down on them when you get an opportunity and not have to deal with the shells. I use to work part-time in a prison so I know how difficult it can be. Nothing like trying to crack eggs and get a head out on a tier. Pain in the ass!

WOW! Thanks guys, yall are great. The main thing is that all of these things can be kept in my backpack all day. It works for me!

Iron Gook- The biggest pain is when I get that craving for a big ass, fallin' apart cheeseburger from a local burger bar and try to sit and eat it with 96 inmates staring at you and talking shit! Most of the buildings I work in are barrack style.

                          Thanks again guys.
