  • critique my 1st bulking diet!!!!

    I want a good clean bulk. Here is my 1st cycle with my stats:



    I will be drinking one gallon of water a day. I am 5'10", 174, BF is 12%. this is a 40%, 40%, 20% with 4200 calories a day.

    Breakfast

    3 egg whites
    Oatmeal/cooked/instant
    protein shake throughout day – 5 scoops

    pre-lunch

    5 oz turkey on 2 whole wheat bread

    lunch

    6 oz roasted chicken-white
    p/b jelly two whole wheat
    banana

    pre-workout

    cottage cheese/lowfat/1 cup
    baked potato
    flaxseed oil - tbsp

    dinner

    12 oz steak
    1 cup vegees
    sweet potato

    snack

    yogurt
    cottage cheese/lowfat/1 cup

    please give me your feedback on both!!!!

      I would try to throw in three 50g protein shakes through out the day.
      Also if your bulking dont be scared to throw a cheeseburger or burrito down to make up for some extra calories.

        oh and I almost forgot, get a good post workout meal:

        70g whey protein
        100g simple carbs

        this is crucial to your recovery and bulking!

          Damn, that's a big one. I drink 46g whey with about 75g carbs (dextrose/malto combo)

            thanks on the burger/burrito will remember that, i know, that is a hell of a lot of food... will do on the post workout too..

            i will be mixing it up a little for change of pace but refuse to eat canned tuna...

            im looking for more info on dextrose...

                Dextrose is a simple sugar or a high GI carb. It can be absorbed by your body quickly, spiking insulin and replenishing glycogen that has been depleted during an intense workout. This will release you from a catabolic state.
                It comes in powder form at a very affordable price and can be found on most internet supplement sites or at your local bulk store (it may go by corn sugar).

                    Go to www.supplementdirect.com Don't waste your money in a damn supplement store. I have searched and searched and have not found a better price than here.

                        about the burger or burrito, that sounds good for sure but just because you can add extra calories doesn`t mean that you can`t do yourself one better by making that meal as clean as possible in respect to carb/protien and fat sources.

                          bro that is the cleanest bulking diet i have ever seen! whe i bulk i always throw in one meal every day with a ton of calories and it dosnt have to be clean normally at lunch.

                          also as fat free as most of your meals are i would add a tablespoon of flax oil or some fish oil caps to each meal.

                          are you a natural ectomorph? 4200 calories dosnt do much for me when i bulk it barely above maintenence for me everybody is different but i try for 4500 minimum everyday it has really helped me alot good luck bro!
