  • Some suggestions?

I was hoping some of you guys who have done cycles before could give me some suggestions on what's worked for you.

I'm gonna start my first cycle next week. I'm very unsure about how many calories I should take in. I've heard SO many different things, and a lot of them conflict. I was thinking of doing a 30/40/30 diet, protien/carbs/fat. As for calories? I have no idea. I'm 5' 9" and 150 about 12% bf, so ya, I'm skinny. My metabolism is fast as hell, though it has slowed down a little in the last year or so. I was thinking 3000 calories? Based on the 30/40/30, that would be 225g of protein and 300g of carbs. I'm not going to do any cardio, I'm too damn skinny. I'm not too worried about getting fat, I can drop it very easily.

I know all about the diff kinds of carbs, the GI index etc, and yes I will be eating every 3 hours. What I'm really trying to figure out here is what is the minimum amount I should be eating to get big? I paid good money for my gear, and I don't want to waste it by not eating enough.

Also, besides protein shakes, any of you guys got any suggestions on something that's very quickly prepared and can be eaten fast? I work about 9 1/2 hours a day, so I have to squeeze in 3 of my meals during my work period. Truthfully, in the past, I've skipped meals because I didn't have anything I could make quickly. I don't want to do that anymore. Thanks for the help everyone.

First off you need to eat 4000 cals bare minimum, but shoot for 4500 to 5000. Second, Iwould eat every 2 hours to achieve that...at least that's what I do. And for quick food to eat I recommend bringing protein with you to work and a cup to shake it in. I use Optimum ON Instanized whey protein cause it tastes good, it has 3.5g of glutamine per serving, and it mixes easier than hell. Also, make some natural peanut butter and jelly sands on wheat. I take 2 of those with me everyday...that's about 800 calories right there. And don't mind the fat in them cause you only weight 150 right? You need to pack on the mass so eat like hell. Even if you're not hungry, eat...I make myself cram down oatmeal anytime I can squeeze it in for some extra cals. Do this and you will gain well bro...I still want to see your cycle though, I'll check to see if you posted it yet. Good luck!

I'm not too crazy about turkey burgers, but I eat them on occasion.

In my opinion, i would up the protein to 2g of protein per lb of bodyweight. Make sure you get that protein in there. Since you have a fast metabolism, i would suggest to eat everything in sight to start packing on the pounds. Due to your work schedule, food preparation the night before is gonna be a must! Make lean ground beef sirloin burgers, tuna burgers, salads, chicken salad, macaroni/ham salad, etc......Something that you have quick access to. Also, do what other's have suggested, that is taking protein shakes to work as well. Take double scoops to hit over 40g of protein per drink.

I agree, just please try to eat clean. Some people see "eat everything in sight" and think "I can eat whatever I want" well you can but just remember what goes in is what you and others see on the outside. So if you eat a lot of fat, guess what? Your going to gain fat. If on the other hand you eat a lot of clean food that is lean guess what? Your going to gain a lot of lean muscle. Trust me bro I know from experinece. On my second cycle I ate a lot of shit and smoked pot all the time and gained 50lbs which was great, but I also raised my bf % way too much. -crombie09

yes, agree with crombie.. lots but clean... 4,000 calories a day should be good for your weight... if you are thin and you try to add weight to quickly it will probably go right to your gut and your ass... you need 3500 extra calories a week to add one pound of muscle...

watch the heavy carbs, like potatoes and pasta, no way...

drinks lot of water with the high protein intake.. only clean fats... might want to research a little while longer...
