  • Blown off all supplements

Alright I want to know whats up? I was taking all kinds of supplements and now that I've stopped I can tell no difference. I feel the same, no lack of energy or anything.

    I was taking:

    Multi vit
    R-ala
    Milk thistle
    Cla
    ginger root
    vit E
    ripped fuel
    glutamine
creatine --- this is the only thing I could actually tell worked, at least it made me bloated, LOL

Since I quit, about a month ago, I can really tell no difference. Why? I have never really taken any supplement and been like, "Wow! I can feel that". What gives? -----crombie09

Because supplements generally don’t elicit outwardly noticeably affects.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that they are worthless, but you shouldn’t expect noticeable drug-like results from a multi-vitamin.

I am surprised that you didn’t notice a difference when you dropped the ripped fuel – unless you drink a lot of coffee.

i have given up on everything but whey protein and creatine. i also use BCAAs but i got a bunch cheap and wont get em again. YJ has posted lots of stuff saying glutamine is worthless. ripped fuel wakes me up to work out. and a multi vitamin isnt gonna help you grow just stay healthy. who knows i think most supplements are for shit especially the ones advertised in muscle mags.

        Well said....

You arent going to pack on a lean 15lbs with a multi, milk thistle, vitamin e or ginger root...

I never was big on r-ala, creatine bloats me as well and glutamine is useless to weight training adults. As for the ripped fuel, well I cant explain that one

Well the ripped fuel, I could feel (made me jittery and all) but it didn't help me lose any weight or bf. -----------crombie09

Nobody feels milk thistle working, doesn't mean it isn't.

Supplements in regards to BBing for the most part give subtle results. But as far as health is concerned there are many that are beneficial.

                  crombie,

Understanding everyone is different, I've been doing this along time and have done you you've done several times.

Almost always 2-3 months after stopping all stuff is when start to see the subtle changes appear. energy, strength, water, little fat, etc. , and might training and diet hardly change.

So, there is one persons expereince.

Wait and see, when your young and test is high, it makes up for alot of other stuff.

                  good luck

Most of the supplements you mentioned were health related. You're not going to notice the difference in a few days, weeks, or probably even months. It will make a difference in the long run, however.

I'd say drop the glutamine. Drop the creatine if it wasn't working for you, as it doesn't for some people.

The others I would consider dropping are the CLA and Ginger root, but I've never used them so I can't comment.

The rest have many positive health benefits and should be continued if the price is reasonable.
