Eat, Eat, and Eat 6-8 high protein meals a day, train hard, dont overtrain either cause that could be also a reason, and give your body a chance bro. It takes time. I was like that before, I wouldnt gain weight and I would try all these supplements and nothing worked till I did my research.

          jrod,

I gained 12lbs over winter without gear... I ate about 6-8 times a day. I tried in the past to gain and never could (I'm ecto) until I understood how much you have to eat.

You have to eat every few hours. You won't really be hungry, you have to just set up a schedule and shop for the weeks ahead.

My food bills where outragous. I would snack on 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at a time. 2-3 protein shakes a day.

Now I'm paying the price getting back into bike racing... Those pounds make a big difference and I feel like a slug uphills...

jrodscalz, read the post weight gain 101
Do you know where one builds action, stamina and guts? In the gym under the iron day after day, forever without fail or excuses or grumbling, that’s where. It’s true. I read a study somewhere and that’s what it said, really.

There’d be fewer battles, less drugs and less crime and more happy moms and dads if we all lifted weights… let’s face it. In what recent medical journal was I reading that?

try the old sea-food diet. When you see food eat it. everyday all day. 18-19 is when i really saw a spurt in weight.

Here are the eat to get big rules for serious ectomorphs out there.

                            1. Eat every two hours. This is a must. Your body must never be without food...if it is then you start feeding on yourself for energy.

                            2. Drink a protein shake between every meal. This will boost your protein and your calories in the BEST way possible.

                            3. Eat calorie dense foods. If you want minerals eat a vitamin...dont load up on salad and that crap. Eat meat and carbs only.

                            4. Forget about all of your physical activities besides training. You don't want to burn up valuable calories.
