I have a few questions about the basic supplements one should take on a daily basis.
I take:
Vitamin C at 6000mg/day
Vitamin E at 1000mg/day
Multi-vitamin
Chromium Picolinate at 800mcg/day {studies suggests benefits are questionable?}
And, I also take Flaxseed Oil, High Lignan, purchased at Vitamin World. It comes in the 1000mg softgels with a breakdown as follows:
ALA 570 mg
Linoleic Acid 160mg
Oleic Acid 180mg
Palmitic Acid 90mg
I want to ensure that I receive enough EFAs daily so I began taking the Flaxseed Oil softgels. I also eat around 15-20 6-ounce cans of tuna weekly packed in water. Would the tuna not be a sufficient source? Or, since it is not salmon, herring, sardines, etc. does that mean being ‘non-oily” it would NOT a good source of EFAs?
Thanks,
Farrar
