  • Low Carb Diet Foods....

I'm starting a low carb nutrition regimen today. My choices of proteins are as follows. Please critique this program for me if you would. I'm not real experienced with the low carb way.

    Ahi
    Tuna steaks
    Buffalo meat
    Chicken
    Tuna - canned albacore
    egg whites
    Designer Whey protein powder
    Cheddar cheese - low fat

    ECA
Thyro Boost - Labrada's Thyroid stimulator
    BCAA's
    Glutamine

My training regimen is as follows:

Mon: chest, shoulders, back, tri's, bi's, early am cardio
    Tue: early am cardio
Wed: legs, abs, early am cardio
    Thur: early am cardio
    Fri: repeat of Mon
    Sat: early am cardio
    Sun: rest

I'll be eating six times daily. Three whole food meals, three liquid meals (whey protein).

    So, whatcha think y'all???

Personally, I think it is important to get your nutrition from REAL food and I shun shakes.

But you don't mention any carbs...are you going keto?

Yeah, I'm going Keto. The reason for the shakes is because on convienence. When I go back to work it will be hard to break out the solids and start eating. Liquids will be better for the time being. I prefer whole food too but right now, it's not an option, sadly.

        unbroken,

Try and get green veggies in there, good for fiber digestion and other minerals etc.

IMHO, 4 real meals and two shakes always does better, of course what you have is good, my stomach metabolizes a shake too fast and get the runs.

Seem more keto, ie not carbs than low carbs, and don't be afraid to add some in when energy get low, carbs also produce serotonin in the brain.

Interesting training schedule Monday's brutal yet you got lots of rest in between, do you like it?

How many grams of protein and what is your total calorie intake you plan on?

        Good Luck

On the days I can get four whole food meals, I will. I'll also try to get a salad in every day either at lunch or dinner. I'm not sure how many calories I'll be taking in but will stay around 2k daily. Protein grams will be around 200g's daily.

The workout is a killer but man, do I grow like crazy while doing it. All the cardio may cut into some of the muscle that I have but I really need to get the bf off. I'm weighing in at 270 clothed. I'm not fat by any means but want to get ripped as hell. If I could be at 10% body fat at 225 Lbs, I'd be satisfied. That's my goal. 225 Lbs at 10% bodyfat.

Be careful with the low fat cheese. Some of it has a decent amount of carbs. I know cracker barrel doesn't have a lot but some kinds do.
