Ill try to keep this short and simple, but it pisses me off enough that I could write a book about it......

So, inlight of the recent bannings of ephedrine, where's all the campaigns to stop the banning of it? Two bills have already been proposed and one signed and passed, so who set up the web site to campaign against the abolishment of it? By god when 1-test and andro came under fire a few select supplement comapnies jumped to the aid and campaigned and pimped their site at various boards for people to write letters to congress and let them know not to ban andro, etc. So where are these supplement companies now? Oh wait, let me tell you..... since ephedrine based products arent in their line up of products or bring in little profit to their store, they dont give a shit that it gets banned, they'll just sell 'alternatives'. Thats lame as fuck, when there's money to be made (or lost) damnit they ban together and recruit thousands of people to write letters, and make phone calls, etc. but what about ephedrine? Ephedrine is far more useful and far more people use ephedrine based products than 1-test and andro..... but since there's no money loss at stake, these companies just blow if off, fuck it, they dont care, theyre only in it for their best interests.....

Oh well, rant over..... this is something I suspected long before it unfolded, which is why I choose not to order from certain companies....

Let's get something straight:

Avant Labs, the smallest of the companies involved in the USFA mind you, does not wish for Ephedrine, or any substance which is currently being threatened, to be banned. We have contributed resources and manpower to oppose what we think to be a fundamental breach of our rights as consumers. Further, we continue to contribute, financially and organizationally.

Who the hell do you think you are, to sit at your computer and "call out" the small number of companies that actually give enough of a damn to DO SOMETHING about the bills which threaten our supplement freedoms?

BIOTEST, ERGOPHARM / LPJ RESEARCH, SCI-FIT NUTRITION, AVANT LABS, NUTREX, MOLECULAR NUTRITION, SAN NUTRITION, and IMPACT NUTRITION are the ONLY current members of the USFA.

Why dont you spend more time indicting, or pressuring, the VAST number of supplement companies that sit idly by, selfishly ignoring this issue, as opposed to *****ing about those who have acted.

I'm biting my tongue on this, but suffice it to say you're way out of line here. Dont make this ugly.

Ah, the diplomatic stand point, nice. I just find it amusing that companies beg and beg for message board members to 'vote against an andro' ban and write a letter to your congressman, etc. when its THEIR product in danger but when its another product they dont deal with, ah to hell with it. Im not speaking of Avants in particular, but its pathetic to think that these companies really give a shit about members fundamental rights', so money has nothing to do with it? Haha...riiiight. If these companies dealt with ephedrine, thats all you would hear, a URL would be spammed on hundreds of boards to write a letter to congress to tell them not to abolish ephedrine, but since its not a high priority (aka. money maker) its an irrelevant subject I suppose. Its not so much these companies care about their customers, its more of a losing money issue, hence the "going out of business sale". Come buy all our products before they're banned! ha... amazing.

Maybe you guys should invite NVE, MuscleTech, Cydodyne, etc. in so there can be something done about the potent national ephedrine ban, but Im sure there's not much concern in the banning of ephedrine for you guys.

Way out of line? You seem a bit frustrated at my post, which means you must feel offended..... why is that? You're a cool guy and help a boat load of people but actually this wasnt directed toward you..... I dont think its out of line in the least, I find it very amusing to see everyone sit back and watch ephedrine be abolished simply because they have no money at stake, now thats pathetic.

I wasnt going to mention any names since companies like MuscleTech, NVE, AST, Cytodyne, etc. arent doing shit to refute the ephedrine ban, so to make it fair, to hell with these companies as well

ephedra is essentially gone... the DEA made sure of it... not through the FDA or these "new laws", though they played a role, but through pressure on the insurance companies..

the FDA was but one of the puppets on this one..


btw- aside from the issue of unneeded regulation...(which is a separate but important one) .... who cares? ephedrine hcl which is far superior is still available and likely always will be..

I care personally, its the principle of the matter. Pro steroids, ephedrine, whats next? I like to have a wide variety of choices, I personally like ephedrine and put it high on my list of supplements that actually work, I would like to have the choice to use it, as would MANY other people on and off internet message boards. If everyone just says "who cares" then fuck it, if no one cares, wonder what they'll ban next?

Ephedrine was a huge money maker for the companies....Until Insurance Rates went through the roof, which made it unacceptable financially to mfg. the product.

Informed and knowledgeable folks know the whole deal on ephedrine. The culprit is the general publics perception, which is what reigns in a court of law when 12 folks are on a jury, and due to media coverage ephedra is bad news, thus insurance companies, if they even offer a policy, which can almost guarantee, don't know for a fact, hardly any do anymore, leaving the insurance companies who will insure free reign on preimiums. Which in essence is the free market system at work, in all it's weakness.

All the companies mentioned, and not saying it's wrong, are built on andro products, and as you know andro products are money makers.

Those other have a wide variety of products, they have had a low cost structure and distribution in place for years that the others do not have the financial where with all to even enter into.

The andro companies are watching out for numero uno, themselves their bottom line, which needs to be addressed first, before the consumer can benefit from the knowledge and expertise. Have no problem with that whatsoever.

It's just sad goverment is making decisions based on an ex-football coach who to my knowledge has very little to no expertise in this area, or if he does he sure doesn't show it.
