I have been taking it a half hour prior to working out. I take a teaspoon with about 8 to 10 oz. of apple juice. I microwave the juice for about 30 sec. so it will dissolve easier so it dosen't give me GI problems at night. I don't take it everyday, but when I do take it, I notice I have restless nights and night sweats too. I should mention that I workout at about 8 or 9 PM. Since I only used to take protein shakes, this is sorta knew to me. I would like to know if I'm doing this right or is there a better way? How do you take your creatine? Thanx.

It iwll dissolve without warming it. Ive never heard of night sweats as a side effect of creatine. And you should be takingi t everday if you want the full benefis of it.
Fructose is slower acting then dextrose. I take 60 gm dextrose with 5 gm creatine. Post w/o. I am not sure if fructose is the best bet for creatine transport. Atleast not at 10 pm.
I read that warming it helps it dissolve (when cold, it just floats around in there and if it dosen't dissolve it will give you dhiarrea). I'm taking Pro Performance Lab. How would you guys rate this? Is it ok to take it late at night prior to w/o? I've read to also take dextrose with it but not sure how to get it (or take it). I guess I'm trying to make the best of this suppl. More info is always appreciated!

You're taking slin or you want the insulin spike? The ratio is 10/1 generally. Im sure 10 more grams isnt going to break you however.
I guess everyone has there thread hijacked once in awhile. I'm surprised no one else has chimed in. This is new to me. Any info is helpful. Thanx.

People are avoiding it because the plethora of creatine info. out there..... Ive answered so many creatine questions Im sick of the shit
It should mix in cold juice or water. Mix it in with your post workout shake with 50 grams of dextrose. If its monohydrate, its good creatine. Creatine is creatine.
You can get dextrose all over the internet, proteincustomizer.com has it very cheap.
Thanx YJ and prolangtm. You guys have been very helpful. So I should be taking it prior and post workout? I guess I haven't been taking enough of it then. Someone told me I should cycle this stuff because it's bad for the kidneys if you stay on it too long. Again this is new to me and sorry if it's the same old questions for I have done a search but it's not what I'm looking for. By the way, can I get the dextrose in a store instead of the internet? Thanx again.
