  • Wow, i forgot hwo powerful melatonin is

    A while back i took melatonin for 3 straight months. The affects seemed to wear off siginifgantly. As of late my sleeping has sucked, i wake up more tired every morning. I was at the mall yesterday, stopped in a vitamin shop, and decided to grab some melatonin along with some B-5. I went to sleep around 2 am, woke up at 8 this morning, and feel like i just slept 12 hours straight. I guess one needs to cycle melatonin, or only use it when they need good sleep. Needless to say, its powerful stuff.
    I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
    I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul

    Any down sides to the melatonin??

    I may have to pick some up.....Seems like I take a nap every day when i get home from work.

        Melatonin is great but there is one side... It seems every once in awhile it makes my skin crawl and I toss and turn and it actually keeps me awake. Same thing happens to my wife. This only lasts 10-15 minutes and then I can sleep.

            recently my sleeping sucks and i wake up almost every two hours, completely worn out in the morning. i usually take some GABA just before sleep (5grs) but the effect seems to wane off. will try this melatonin stuff once. thanks for the call, pro.

                i cant agree more, my mother is into herbal stuff and needless to say she got me to try melatonin one night

                after 5 hours of sleep, i woke up more refreshed than i had in weeks

                  Yay Melatonin

                  Went to GNC last night and picked up the 120 Tab bottle of the 3MG for 7.99 and all I can say is wow. Me, the GF, her parents all took some last night and when we all woke up, we all felt like a million dollars.

                    Yes, Melatonin is great stuff. I used to use it alot and it would knock me out and I would wake up feeling alot better. (Other then groggy and shitty).

                    But I noticed that your body gets used to it after about 2-3 weeks and falling asleep is not that easy. Like Cipher said, cycle it off for about a week and you should be fine. Good stuff Cipher, thanks for bringing this underrated sup up to the boards.

                      i feel the same way man. Have found myself almost relying too much on melatonin every night. been using 3mgs for 2 months now. with the effects noticably decreasing.... so cycling would be ideal. i found taking more than 3mgs doesnt help and only could hurt. its a good natural product.
