  • clean bulking ???

    ok guys, im starting my 1st cycle in a few weeks. I am goimg to be bulking but eating extremely clean!!!
    165lbs @ 10%bf
    5'9"
    What ratio of carbs to protein should i eat? Its a 10 week cycle and my protein will be at:
    wk 1-2 250grams of protein
    wk 3-4 300gr" "
    wk 5-6 350gr" " yes i can eat this much
    wk 7-8 350gr" "
    wk 9-10 400gr" '

    What should i have my carb grams at for each of these weeks?

    if your wondering i will be taking 150mg of prop and 300mg of enanthate per week.

    Whoa killer..... no reason to taper protein intake. Stick with a level number, your protein in the 1st week is just as important as that in the final week. 400 grams of protein for a guy 165, you're going to be well over your BMR and thats not clean bulking. I would shoot for around 270 grams of protein if I were you. A ratio of 40/40/20 is idea lfor bulking. Dont neglect essential fats!

      yeah the protein is probably a little high.
      Why not taper. ?
      As i gain weight wont my protein requirements increase.?
      If i start out too high at 1st, it will be excess cals.

        300g is a safe number.
        Try:
        300g protein
        300g low glycemic carbs (except P.W.O.)
        125g good fats
        I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
        I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul

          True, but you dont know at what weight you will be and how much of that will be lean muscle. The bigger you get, the more you will eat, naturally.

              Reasses your diet every two weeks. My body needs more fat to gain muscle, not carbs. But you may be different, high carbs make me soft, high carbs may make you explode in muscle. You have to constantly toy with your diet to find out how it reacts best.

                i know when im natural carbs make me soft, so ill bump the fat and protein a bit if i stop gaining.

                    when I try to go low carb and high fat, I ain't muscle n blood. I'm skin n bone, and I need a spot to finish getting my teeth brushed

                      what do u mean? Were speaking of a diet that consists of 300gr of carbs

                        300mg pro is plenty at your weight. 300G carbs is too much if you are taking in that much fat also, cut down the carbs to as low as 100-150. quality ones with low gi are good, sweet potatos, potatos, brown rice, green veggies those are all good. But you need to either keep your carbs lower or drop your fat because if BOTH are fairly high, you WILL get fatter. At least most people do, not eveyrone. Play with your diet till you find what suits you best. Good luck!
