  • My progress thread!!

    Okay, well I have never taken pics of myself when I work out. Since I am taking this time a little more serious, I figured pics would be the best way to see my progress. So, I am going to post some pics so far.

    I have only been working out since the end of October. I am 5'8" and about 182lbs. I am guessing that I am probably 24-25% BF. I am open to any critiques or suggestions, just don't be too harsh. Of course I will be updating as I progress.

    This is pretty much going to be my starting point pics. I know it isn't much, but it can only get better from here.....I hope!

              I have started hitting the gym at 5am for cardio this week. Hopefully, this will start to burn the fat!! I figure I will take pics every 30 days or so.

                decent base bro!! shouldnt be too hard to pull it all together. what does your program look like. nutrition IS the biggest part of the whole process...i've always been able to drop fat and cut up decently without cardio. just by minipulating my nutrition and training style (higher reps, shorter break periods too loose bodyfat) keep it up....we'll critique on the fly

                  Well, the schedule looks like this:

                  Wed-Chest
                  Thu-Arms
                  Fri-Shoulders
                  Sat-Back
                  Sun-legs

                  We have been doing at least 4 sets of 8-10 reps(changes depending on how we feel it's going) with the last set being comprised of drop sets. For a change, this week we have been doing light weight and a lot of reps and have gotten some killer pumps!!

                  For chest we do: (we alternate dumb bells and barbell)
                  Flat bench
                  Incline
                  Decline
                  Flies (We use pec deck, cables, or dumb bells)

                  Arms:
                  Straight bar curl
                  Seated dumb bell curl
                  Cable curl
                  Tricep push downs
                  Dips
                  Dumb bell extension

                  Shoulders:
                  Military press (alternate front and back)
                  Seated dumb bell shoulder press
                  Shrugs
                  Barbell pulls
                  Lateral and front raises

                  Back:
                  Lat pulls (alternate front and back)
                  Deadlifts
                  Dumb bell jerk
                  Hammer strength machines
                  Reverse pec deck

                  Legs:
                  Pretty much all machines here
                  Press
                  Extensions, inner and outer thigh machines, etc..

                  I didn't put sets and reps because those change depending on how we feel. I'm hoping that the cardio will really help lean me down. My diet is descent but not spot on by any means. I haven't really gone as far as figuring out my calories and all that. I basically have just cut out most of the junk and started drinking a lot of water.

                    And thanks for the encouragement....I was kind of reluctant to post the pics. But I want to be able to see the difference as it is happening....maybe this will help me figure out what works and doesn't work for me!

                      dude...the pics absolutely works!!! i did the same thing when i first started. i still look back at those pics and compair to now!
                      program looks good and solid...like i said...to cut weight, cut rest periods and clean up the nutrition

                        Bro, if you wanna cut some serious weight do the anabolic diet! Im telling you bro its cuts mad weight!! If you did that for about 6-11wks you would be CUT!
