Is it a legit one or another BS product like BioTest put out? I was told that the only way to actually do that is to mutate the gene. In lab rats there was an increase of 300% in LBM in the mutated ones. Now, I don't know a single human who could do that and survive. The weight alone would crush you while you sleep. It's an increase in LBM, not fat so you are talking about a hell of a lot of muscle. Too much to function like a normal human. I gurantee if anyone adds just 100% more LBM they would have issues.

Tell me more about the one you are talking about. Please, because if it's a way to add say 10 to 20% more LBM then that just might interest me. That's enough mass to kick my metabolism into overdrive and keep me a lot leaner.

Wow, I just read a couple links on this and apparently it's a legit product, unlike the BS that you get otc to block it. The initial clinical tests will be on people with various forms of MD, a desease that eats away at skeletol muscle. They claim that Myo-029 is a human anti-GDF-8 monoclonal antibody. Which if it works, will in fact block the this gene from limiting the production of skeletol muscle. This gene, for those that don't know, acts like a governor on a go-cart. Take off the governor, and watch that baby go. Theoretically, the same should happen with this drug. Take the muscle governor out of the picture, or more appropriately, limit it's effectiveness and your skeletol muscle will increase.

This drug could very easily put the need for aas to rest. Seriously, I got to about 200 pounds before I ever touched aas. Imagine if a drug liek this could add 10 to 20% more muscle (just muscle, no fat) then this drug would have shot me up to around 218 to 236, assuming by BF was 10% when I weighed 200. AND, it actual skeletol muscle, not water, not fat, not organ growth, muscle tissue. This could be a total break through, if it works.

there is no way (safe anyway) to mutate that gene.

In an interview with BASSKILLER, T-MAN, Bob Clapp (Not sure of the name) leaked info of a BB in Poland undergoing said clinical trials and his growth had 2b carefully managed. If u google "Belgian Blue" u'll c why, w/o myostatin muscle growth could get out-of-control. Science has found that the "Belgian Blue" does not have or has a drastically altered Myostatin gene. But, if controlled think of the possiblity................

Yep, that's the point I was making earlier. If you mutate the gene you lose all control. Period. We know next to nothing when it comes to mutation so there is no need to start trying it. The best would be to do what they are doing now and come up with an actual myostatin blocker. Even if it's temporary. Let say for instance you take it and in one month you have gained 10 solid pounds, well, take off the next two months and see if you can hold the weight. If so, then try it again for a month. Most guys I know would be thrilled at the possibility to add 10 to 20 pounds of solid muscle. And, if you could keep it, well then thats just a bonus. I don't claim to know anything about the gene other than what it does. If someone were to gain 20 pounds and then get off, would they lose the muscle they gained? Who knows. Only time will tell. I would imagine that the person who suffers from MD would have to be on it for life because that desease actually eats muscle away. But, the normal guy who doesn't suffer from it would they keep their gains? I know if you mutate the gene you will keep everything and it will keep going until it finally kills you. I know this because in a study I read several years ago when Bio-Test came out with their blocker they said all the lab rats eventually dies from the excess body mass. Give it a year and see what happens. If the Myo-029 gets approval then it's worth a try. Hell, I'll try a blocker and see what happens. The great thing bout this is all your skeletol muscle will grow. Guys with genetically weak biceps or weak calves would be able to out grow those problems. You could do next to nothing for your strong points and they'd still get bigger.

Good point. I'm thinking the muscle would stay since it produced new skeletal muscle. Not sure though but it would be very good to know.
