Fibromyalgia

Anyone have it?

I have been through a shitload of testing, and pretty much everything has been normal.. The only thing that wasn't normal was my EMG. I have been working with a rheumatologist and she is still trying some other things. She wants to rule out all things before making a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. It looks to me like I am heading that way. When what ever I have flares up, it is unbearable as well as depressing.

it is a heavily debated thing in the medical community...some say it is just a medical term some doctors throw out or diagnose when a patient has multiple symptoms of things but there aren't any tests to prove it....

Do I think it exists? Yes. Do I think there are a lot of people who claim to have it that don't have it...YES.

Well as I sit here typing, my arms burn, hands hurt and my body just hurts. Don't know what it is, but it sounds like it.

My mom has it. I try to give it merit but have heard several doctors discuss this. They say it is a term to use when they have no clue what the problem really is. Have you had your hormone levels checked? They can cause a lot of your problems. My mom always has an issue, not saying she doesn't but I often wonder if it is just a way for doctors to make money. How long has this been around. Just in recent years is when I have been hearing about it. I will be praying that your pain goes away and you get relief. Pain sucks.... I have much pain...

ur very intuitive, imho, do your research find a good doctor

i've known a few people with it, but that's about it, imho, when people look normal and have issues like this, it's a constant roller coaster of ups and downs that really wear on the physche, ie the vicious circle, which is tough
