anyone on here had any experience with this? Just had a slew of labs done to rule out a bunch of stuff and everything came back pretty good except the indicator for Rheumatoid Factor. The results say <16.0 IU/ml is negative, 16.0-19.9 IU/ml is equivocal and >20.0 IU/ml is positive and my results were 33.7 IU/ml. Basically i get what they are calling flares where my left outside edge of foot or right inside edge of foot gets seriously painful when i wake up and walk on it for several days or like the past two days where my right wrist is painful especially when training, had to use the wrap/hooks for traps yesterday. Did a bunch of reading and the treatments other than pain relievers like Nsaids and Naproxen are shitty. Biologics which are expensive as fuck and can cause bad side effects up to cancer and DMARDs like prednisone and sulfasalizine are nothing i really want to deal with. Told the wife about the test results and she was like oh no are you gonna be ok, can they treat it? And i said yeah lead supplement and i'll be all good other than a permanent side effect. Gotta seea rheumatologist in january but i'm hoping since it's sporadic and usually in the colder months that i can just keep doing the naproxen for it and when i can retire in 7 years or so and move to somewhere warm it won't be life altering and keep me put of the gym. any personal experiences with any of you peeps? Thanks in advance.

Re: RA
Oh man, that sux!! The Rhuematologist should be able to shed much more light on this, and then probably put you through even more of a slew of labs. From what I remeber, even a positive doesn't necessarily mean that you have RA. Immune issues are tricky but I';m glad you are headed to a specialist net. Keep us posted, BD.Veritas Vos Liberabit

Re: RA
Brother. I do not have RA but do have regular arthritis which is way easier to manage. Though when it flares up my hands hurt and it is hard to manipulate things like even text. RA makes training hard, both in the gym or at the camp. When I spar I always tell my partner no more than 75% and sometimes light touch sparring to save my hands (and my head) We have a sauna at my gym. After working out I sit in the sauna for 20 minutes then go home and turn the water on cold. I hop in until I cannot stand it. It sucks but seems to really help.
My sis has RA real bad. She is doing the anti inflamatory diet and it has helped her a lot.
Best wishes.

Re: RA
so i've been on cbd for a little over two weeks and the daily foot pain and beginnings of stiffness/pain in thumbs is significantly decreased. going to stay on this at least until i see rheumatologist in march for initial appointment. no desire to explore the big pharm tv hyped RA meds that all seem to cause or worsen heart valve problems. been back steady in the gym for the past two weeks and doing cardio 3-4 times per week with no big issues next day. fingers crossed as i continue to get ready for cancun condition.

Re: RA
Arthritis sucks man, RA sucks bad. I havent been diagnosed yet but not doc feels I'm not hitting markers yet but all the symptoms. If I do a cilantro shake for a few days it will go away. Look this up, has to be raw and fresh.
