  • Green Tea Protects Skin from UV Damage

Individuals taking 540 mg of green tea catechins per day over a 12-week period were found to have metabolites of the green tea in their skin, where it protected them from UV damage.
Various antioxidants are known to accumulate in the skin and help your body naturally defend itself from the UV radiation of sun exposure. In addition to green tea, lycopene, grape seed extract, and tocotrienol E are all excellent skin support nutrients.
When UV radiation hits your skin it turns on vitamin D activity which in turn activates your antioxidant defense systems in your skin. This is an entirely natural process. However, a person lacking in skin antioxidants may not be able to mount a proper defense. Thus, skin support antioxidants are a good idea in general and especially if you are out in the sun for longer periods and/or are sensitive to the sun.

Awesome! I spend a lot of time in the sun and do not use sunscreen. I believe you protect your skin from the inside out.
