  • Bone Quality is of the Utmost Importance to Bone Health

While the medical profession and Big Pharma continue to undermine the structural health of bones with their dastardly bone drugs, scientists are proving that the quality of bones is more important than the amount of bone density. Nutrition rules when it comes to bone health. Beware of the toxic bone drugs; the FDA is snoring at the wheel while consumers are being harmed by the millions.
Not a single study of any kind shows that bisphosphonate drugs improve the microarchitecture of bones. To the contrary, studies find that these bone drugs actually disturb the microarchitecture of bones and make them weaker. The fact that a woman can be shown a before and after picture where her bone looks more dense after taking bisphosphonates, which is typical for the first three years of treatment, reflects swollen bones that are inflamed, not healthier bones. This swelling dissipates by year five, as the inflamed bone is actually “burned out.” Now a woman is not only left with less bone density, but also with much weaker bones. This is why women who take bisphosphonates for many years have spontaneous fractures of large bones. This is truly one of the great con jobs of all time.
Using highly advanced scientific tools, a study details the healthy structure of bone microarchitecture and what happens to it during aging. It is a shame such testing is not yet available to consumers, as it would spell the end to the bogus testing that is currently part of standard Western medicine.
On a microscopic basis, tiny cracks are continually forming in bone as force and stress are placed on bone. This is normal. If these microcracks are properly repaired, bone maintains its plasticity and strength. If these cracks are not repaired, they form larger cracks, and inherently, cause weaker bone, regardless of density.
Bone is made up of collagen molecules and nanocrystals of calcium hydroxyapatite. These form a very geometrical structure that is reflective of healthy bone, and provide your bones with unique mechanical properties. During aging, the collagen molecules start to cross link together in an abnormal way, making them unable to “slide” in response to force being applied to the bone (impacts of physical movement or demand). Healthy bones have collagen plasticity, rather than rigidity. Once this starts to happen, bones have microfractures at a higher rate that induces attempted repair, which is not efficient. This leaves triple the number of “malfunctioning repair structures” to clutter the bone and get in the way, and again contributes to a structure that lacks integrity, is more easily fractured at the micro level, and is eventually more at risk for a major fracture.
It is interesting that the bisphosphonate drugs do not add calcium to bone in the proper way. They essentially glue calcium on to bone, ignoring that the calcium is not in the proper place for healthy structure.
In many ways bones take the brunt of the wear and tear in your life, whether that be emotionally or physically. Thus, the decline in function associated with aging bone is sped up by excess stress of any type. On the other side of this equation is relaxing sleep, refreshing exercise, a quality diet, and many important nutrients that facilitate healthy bone formation. It is not only important to provide high quality calcium to bone, but it is also equally important to reduce the inflammatory process within bone that drives the chaotic formation of bone. Nutrients such as vitamin K2, vitamin D3, boron, quercetin, tocotrienols, and cissus quadrangularis are helpful.
There is no short cut to truly healthy bones. Your bones are an accurate reflection of how well you managed wear and tear in your life. Thankfully, there is a path to build healthier bones as well as add bone density over time. That path starts with stress management and improvement of any kind of health issues that trouble you. It includes providing high quality nutrients for bone formation and inflammation reduction in bone so that the process of making bones with a higher quality structure can occur.
