  • The Best Reasons to Workout

    I. Let’s face the facts: if you don’t workout you’re going to be a pig. I’m sorry, that’s just the way it is. You’ll be weak, slow, tired, and feel like utter and complete crap. I hate to be negative, but sometimes negative reinforcement is the best kind of motivation.


    II. Workout Hard = Attract Opposite Sex. Surely this will motivate you. We all want to have our pleasures in life, but you don’t get it by being lazy. We all have the same opportunities, it’s whether or not we execute them that decides whether or not we succeed in life (and in sex). It’s been said that most of sex appeal is made up of confidence... well let me tell you, if you work-out and achieve a good body, then you will be confident GUARANTEED.


    III. Haha, you can rub it in your friend’s faces. Ah, ever wanted to feel higher up than your closest friends. To one-up them, to just be more successful? By working out you can. Think about it. You’re walking with a freaking hot date, you have abs of steel, and you are more confident than your friends ever even dreamed of.


    IV. Endorphins. Want to know the number one anti-stress factor? Working out. It gets those “pleasure hormones” a-raging, and it’s better than crack. Eventually you’ll get addicted, won’t be able to stop, and then gains will just start pouring in.


    V. The pump. As Arnold Schwarzenegger once said, the pump is better than cumming. I have to agree. It’s only a case of your muscle being engorged with blood, but it still makes you feel like the Incredible Hulk.


    VI. You get to battle the soccer moms every day!! Ha, this ones the truth. Nothing, and I mean nothing, bothers me more than if the soccer moms are out-doing me. It makes me work that much harder, and I get to rub it in their face with my awesome conditioning and strength (plus, some of them are damn hot).


    VII. You get to move heavy ass weight. Oh yeah baby! As Ronnie Coleman said, “Everybody wanna be a bodybuilder, but ain’t no one wanna lift no heavy ass weight.” Ha! More like ain’t no one wanna inject themselves with harmful steroids. Lifting heavy ass weight is awesome, and there is no better feeling than slapping as much weight as your body can handle onto your back and squatting ‘till you puke. Yum. I want me that feeling right now.


    VIII. It helps throughout daily activities. Do not act like your 70, you aren’t (and if you are, act like you’re 20!)! By working out, simple tasks such as bending down, doing laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, and all that jazz becomes much easier. You won’t get tired at work anymore, and you’ll be craving your next workout.


    IX. You have an excuse to drink tasty shakes. OK, I know that this is not one most of us think of everyday... but you have to admit a good whey protein shake (Muscle Milk, Syntha-6 , etc.) is just as good or better tasting than a regular milkshake. And the best part is that now you have an excuse to drink them!!!


    X. Say goodbye to fat!! That’s right, obviously by working out and eating smart you can lose ALL, did I just say ALL, (yup) of your unwanted fat. Wait... it’s not that you CAN, it’s that you WILL. Don’t believe me? Ha! Try it. It’s better than surgery!!


    XI. Get cut! Let your abs pop, your pecs ripple, and your arms achieve awesome vascularity. Basically, by working out, you become more aesthetic. This kind of goes with others. Being aesthetic can have more benefits than you would think, including helping you to get that promotion, receiving much more respect, and a better “bed-time,” if you know what I mean.


    XII. Uh, duh! You get to live longer. By getting in shape, you reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Not only will this increase the quantity of your life, but the quality of your life as well. So you’ll WANT to live longer, and you’ll enjoy it to the fullest. Heck, by being physically fit, it increases you mental health and your social health... which guess what? That’s all 3 parts of the health triangles. Scoff on living to be 100! Shoot for 200!
