Tweet3000 cals!!!!
That's it.
That's not much
Aren't you still hungry off 3k
At least 5000-6000 if your trying to bulk up bro.
TweetGet more sleep too, i have found that my gains almost double when i get at least 8 hours a night, and take a few naps.

TweetBro you need to eat more. As massive said if bulking on less then 6000 cals then your not bulking.
TweetI disagree. A 150lb guy doesnt bulk on the same cals as a 180lbs guy or a 220 lb guy. There is not set limit. First off, his diet sucked. I beleive in clean bulking. Ive done clean, junk, and a mix, and I have gained more muscle and less fat eating clean. Starting off at 220, i had my cals at 4500 to start, and every week added 100 cals a day, until i topped out at around 5200, anything more and I was bloated and gained more fat.Originally posted by Akamai

Dont be a see weight, lift weight, see food, eat food BBer. Listen to your body. 85% of a cycle is your diet. Why do people treat cutting diets so different than bulking diets? Isnt the point on cutting to lose as much fat as possible while keeping muscle, and bulking is gaining as much muscle, while keepign fat gain to a minimum? So why do we go nuts on a bulk diet, and sweat out the calories in gum when we diet. It makes no sense to me.

TweetOh, btw, i gained 20 lbs on that bulk cycle eating clean, save a meal or two a week, but they were still clean, i just ate at a steak house. 12 weeks, and 20lbs kept i think is a good gain, eh?

Tweeti totally disagree with the penutbutter statment, i have a fast metabolisim and i am also lactose intolorant so i cant have shakes or anything with whey in it, i made penut butter shakes with natural penut butter, 4 scoops of that and 2 cups of lactaid milk and blend it, if it where not for this shake then i wouldnt look like i do know, 193 6%bf and 5'10 and believe me it is all from the penut butter so dont tell me or anyone else that penut butter is not a good builder because that is bull crap! Not trying to flame but unless you have tried it then dont judge on it.Originally posted by trancedelt
Well that's a different story then
Try going with 4 shakes and 4 meals. Get some flax oil and add 2 tablespoons to each shake (except the pre or post workout shakes). This would add at least 500 cals.
Milk and jam have very high GI carbs in them, and will definitely help store fat. Studies have shown that eating these types of food especially late at night will do so. And it's just not good muscle building food.
I think fine-tuning that diet will make a big difference.
There's a very interesting thread at elite here it is:

points out that people with high levels of SHBG might not respond well from gear. Could be treated with proviron or avena sativa. Check it out..

TweetHehe who says i haven't 'tried' pb? It's incomplete protein with lots of saturated fat. Alone it is crappy for building muscle. Have pb+j sandwiches for the next year and let's see how you look . It is helpful for taking in extra calories, since it tastes good, does not kill the appetite.Originally posted by ROIDHEAD03

TweetHmm, last time i checked Peanuts were a complete protein. Natural peanut butter only has 2.5g of saturated fat per 16g of fat, Olive Oil is known as a good fat, and it has 2g per 12g of fat.Originally posted by trancedelt

This is true. I'm about 320, and I need ungodly amounts of food just to keep from shrinking.
However, if he's eating 3000 and not gaining wt, he's not eating enough to gain wt. Up it to 4000 and see if that works. Keep increasing until you start to see gains.
Tweetbro more calories 4,500 to 5,000

and who eats natural pb? :P
pb tastes pretty damn good in a shake, but i like to just put a few tbsp's flax in there, tastes better than without it!
