TweetI go outside. Got enough mass there to work with, plus the length of the vastus longus. I've heard of people hitting the vastus medialis (teardrop) on the inside, and it might be ok. farther up on the inner quad things get a bit complicated. You get a crossed up pattern of sartorius, adductors, hip flexors. Less margin for error, more nerves, etc.

TweetI'm about the same as HB. I do it sitting down and I just hit it on top and to the outside. Everything I've ever seen has said not to hit the vastus medialus (inner head). They never said why, they just dont recommend it.

I also do mine sitting down and make sure my leg is very relaxed first!

Tweeti wanted to give the outside a lil break, i put a pin in and it sounds like rice crispe cereal. when i do the out side i go closer to the knee, if i go higher it gets red and blotchy.

Tweetalways outside. here is a tip to help with pain, called z track method i think. when sitting take one hand and pull the skin to the side....in other words put your hand flat on the side of ur quad and slide it towards your knee, then inject and don't release till you pull out the needle

Hey BIG MIKE, what were you using...I was scared the first time I did quads, and I used Sust. and it was sore but not crippling. I got over it in a couple days.
