Well, finally hit one of my goals (well, sort of)....405 for 1 rep on bench. I was using the Smith Machine because I was working out with my wife, so I don't really count this as hitting 405, but I did put up 410# for 1 rep clean (counting the bar as zero #'s). Felt awesome!

Of course, did it the same day I had a doctor's visit. Went in for a mild skin rash, came out with blood tests, urine test, EKG and another appointment Wednesday. Seems my BP was a tad high - 186/82! They caught me at my worst moment....just finished bulking for 20 weeks, hit 270#'s and just stopped my cycle on Saturday. With a history of heart problems on my fathers side, I'm concerned it may end up putting the kabosh on any further AS use. I was upfront with them about my use, so we'll see on Wednesday what they say. I know my BP has been high before, but when I'm cutting it usually is ok (not great, but acceptable even while on).

They may put you on a mild bp med like Mavik 4mg or something else. Hows your diet? I take garlic/parsley caps and red yeast for the bp and cholesterol at least during cycles.

Bloodwork came back in good shape. Red blood cell count (meaning the width of them) was slightly high, but just barely over the normal range. Nothing taking a couple of Bayer won't take care of. Liver values also came back good with no protein showing up in my urine. BP was a little better today and think it will go down significantly when I start cutting this weekend.

They did, however, order a stress test, Eckocardiagram(sp?) and a cholesterol screening. Have to do them over the next few weeks. This was precautionary as there was a small abnormality on my EKG and both my father and his father died from heart failure in their 40's. I did get more of a lecture from the doc today, but she also said she'd test me before and after cycles to keep an eye on my use and any ill effects it may bring.

If you've just bulked up, then I'm not surprised that your BP's is higher. Remember, now your heart has to pump blood through all that new muscle of yours. You're doing the right thing by seeking the advice of your doctor. Let us know how you make out.
