TweetTake it as a compliment bro, I'm sure most people mean well

TweetDoes anybody have the same problem when everyday somebody tells you you're big?
I don't know whether to take it as a compliment, but it gets tired. Some people may specualte that you're on some type of gear but they seem reluctant to come out and say it. They look at us in awe sometimes how we get bigger and bigger with nice results. Whether we are close to these misc. people or not most everytime we keep quiet about it.

TweetIve had that same problem brother. I actually love it when they told me that I was bigger cause it made me feel like as if the gear and my training was really paying off. It got tired when people suck up me you and try to hang out with me, before they would even bother. I had this once that this friend that I dont really like, used to talk his shit on how much I sucked up to him, saying this and that, that I would follow him everywhere he went to. Which was all bullshit. I heard the guy was into weights, roids and stuff. Once the s.o.b saw me that I have gotten massive, he would suck up to me like crazy. He even offered to buy me some gear, which I was like "What a suck up". But I blew off the bastard. Well I love the good compliments.Originally posted by Massive1

TweetI'm 42 and most of my adult life I have been in out-standing shape. Like depending on what activity I was giving mostattention, ie. lifting, running, biking etc, my stats usually stayed at a pretty lean 6' 185 to 205 lbs...I started bulking natural a year ago and did my first cycle in sept.. I'm on second cycle now and weigh a very lean 230...I'm getting looks at times like people are afraid of me...I don't like that because I'm not a mean person at all..I'm also getting other type looks...I am beginning to wear baggy clothes to the gym and to be frank sometimes I feel a bit freakish..Don't dare get me wrong, I fukin love the way I look and feel...I just know how ya feel

People would also stare at me, like as if they were afraid or something. I was always jacked up most of the time, I would get pissed for everything. I used to love it at first but I kinda thought to myself I aint making anymore friends cause of this and people are staying away from me. I just though people hated me or something but nah it was cause I was big or something.
But its an awesome feeling.
TweetJust got to take it as a compliment

TweetI went from 155lbs to 225lbs in the past 3 years every time I see some one I havent seen in a while they ask me that ....but nothing feels better then when you see some one that use to be bigger than you.....And you have them by 25lbs
Tweeti just ignore it myself headphones and blinders at the gym for me
TweetI think girls are the worst about this! They all say you are to big thats distgusting!
TweetSimilar to fireking, in age and life stuff.
At 44 because I'm slim and in great shape, whenever talks turns to weight gain or diet, and I say something in that regards, 80% of time folks comment how it's my metabolism or genes, or luck or whatever. The truth is 29 years of training and eating clean, year round.
Rather than say that, I just let it pass. You cannot change a persons point of view on what they believe in a few minute conversation. These folks have not educated themselves at all on health and nutrition in the least to state something like they have.
So, I just let it slide off my back easy, say something nice like thank you or whatever, because these folks, Know not of what they Speak.
Nice thread, though, something we probably all deal with in certain ways.
Good Luck
