TweetMaybe he's stressed about something. Getting everything just right (diet, training, sleep, etc..) isn't easy. And, it may be harder on him if you're on his case. I'm not suggesting that you are... It's just a thought.

TweetI get mad when I'm on a cycle and everyone keeps fucking asking me if I'm "on juice." Irritates the hell out of me!

TweetOh god, the good ol' "roid rage" topic. Everybody's different, and some say they feel more "relaxed" when on. Others, like me, become irritated easily. The bottom line is that it isn't uncontrollable by any means. I get irritated and frustrated a lot easier while I'm on a cycle, but I'm able to stop and think, "would this normally make me angry?" As long as I have that willpower to stop for a second and think, 99.9% of the time I then think to myself, "nah, this wouldn't piss me off normally...just calm down" I dunno, it's all in my head, and I always calm myself down before snapping on somebody, so I think people don't even notice. I think with your husband it might be something else that is bothering him, and the juice is just magnifying that. I'm not trying to sound like an ass here, but you may be contributing yourself. Do you ask him everyday to stop juicing, and are you nagging at him all the time about his mood? I'm sure his mood swings aren't pleasant for you, but I know if my girl was bugging me all the time to stop juicing, I'd get pretty frustrated if I was on a cycle or not. The best advice I can give you is to research yourself on steroids, joining up at this board was a great start. Also, try to give him some time to come around...
I bend but I do not break.
TweetRegardless of what is causing the irritability, communication is the key. Talk to him, and by that I mean talk to him, don't accuse him or anything he's taking. Don't start out asking him why the gear is making him irritable.
If he has started taking gear, then bodybuilding is VERY important to him. Respect that. Ask him why he became upset at a certain situation. Do not ask him if the gear had anything to do with it. If he doesn't want to talk about it, ask him why and explain to him that finding out why it is making him upset is important to you because you do not want him to be upset.
Apart from that and the limited info that we have, nobody on this board can give you any advice past talking to him.
Please come back on this thread and tell us what he said....or better yet, have him come back on and tell us if he doesn't feel 100% comfortable telling you what the problem is. Believe me, roid rage, while not a total myth, is not that common.
Good luck. But I think with some understanding and some communication the both of you can get through this with a better understanding of each other.

TweetYou should talk to him...like others have said.....my parents and girlfriend(at the time) went crazy when they found out I was taking steroids....then I sat down with them and explained everything out to them...what I was taking and why....maybe if you ask your husband what he is exactly taking and for what purpose it might make the tension in the air be a little thinner ....if you know what I mean....this board iss here to help you in any way that the people here know how.....

TweetI dont mean to step on anyones toes, but bro it seems like you need to get your shit together. if your wife is pregnant and getting ready to have your baby. and all your worried about is getting to the gym and getting your cycle down pat. then you got some issues. i dont mean to sound mean, i am just saying how i feel about the issue. right now you need to be by your wifes side and not at the gym and not jumping on her shit JUST BECAUSE SHE IS WORRIED ABOUT YOU. i am married and have 2 beautiful girls and i dropped everything to be by my wifes side, and it was hell because with both girls, my wife suffered from postpartum deppression bad. for up to 6 months after each kid. and it seems to me she is only worried about you and you being safe and not going overboard with the gear. you should be thanking your wife for loving you as much as she does. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU and congratulations on the kid

TweetThank God for someone who understands the wife's point of view! My husband and I have been through a lot to have this baby, over 3 years of treatment, in vitro. I don't know how I would make it without him and I just get very scared about this whole steroid thing. He was in the hospital over the summer for 5 days due to problems from a cycle he was on. How do I not be afraid? I do agree that he needs to focus on me and the baby more than this steroid cycle. He is just as excited about this baby as me, but we need him completely. I respect the fact that he takes care of himself and there could be worse things that he could be doing other than bodybuilding, but he just started using steroids about 3 years ago and he looked fantastic even before ever using them. Not to mention that it is an expensive hobby! I thank you again for all of your replies and I do feel a little better now! My husband is a big boy and he will end up doing what he wants but it is not all about him anymore!
