Marijuana, cigarettes, and alcohol have often been considered gateway drugs, but what are your opinions on steroids as gateway drugs?

I think most people who get into steroids usually consider themselves to be “clean living” healthy people. Unfortunately, from what I have seen and experienced, this is not the case at all.

If the drugs that steroids lead to are used as adjunctive medications (Valium to combat sleep problems) or as performance enhancing medications (Amphetamines for fat loss and energy) then are they as acceptable as other adjunctive and performance enhancing drugs? By others I mean others such as Ephedrine, Clenbuterol, Clomid, Nolvadex, etc.

Are they only gateway drugs if they are used for or lead to recreational use?

      Any thoughts?

No, that’s not what I’m saying at all. In fact, my feelings are just the opposite. Although on the other side of the coin, I believe it’s a legitimate issue.

It’s a very complicated issue, and I’m just curious to hear what other people think.

I totally agree with alittlewhiteboy steroids have made me feel better about myself and I find myself paying more attention to what I eat and how much I eat. And instead of getting high and drunk all the time I go to the gym. I went from an eightball and an ounce a week and verious other drugs and alcohol to a few injections a week. If you think about it I'm really taking better care of my body and I never even think of the other stuff.

yep I make $50'000 plus a year and for the longest time had nothing to show for it. I quit cold turkey and never went back now I own a house 2 new cars and a project rx7. Lifes just been great since the juice. I'm not saying that its all because of the juice but it helps my mood alot and keeps me going I seem to never have a bad day. I just laugh off the bullshit and go about my day.

If you want my personal opinion steroids can really change a person for the greater good,it can change ones body completly right in front of their eyes.increasing their self esteem and self confindence where they can feel good about themselves and to others around them.

To classify them in the same catagory as say speed, crack and pot is like comparing apples and oranges, they need to be catagorized seperately from those type of drugs.I don't see anyone getting buffed and ripped from speed or heroin now do you.Just my .02

Agreed. I quit drinking almost entirely, and I'm in college and in a fraternity who does nothing but drink. I haven't drank (with the exception of 1.5 beers) in about 3-4 months. I smoke maybe 3 times a year. I eat right, get plenty of sleep, and am more dedicated to my goals in life and just enjoy life more.

Agreed, most steroid users aren't getting off on steroids. They take them for self esteem issues and etc. How many times do you see a juicer on the streets homeless like cocane addicts?

I agree with u.......But I think that steroids in on themselves are hard drugs....... They are highly addivctive and a lot of pp who use them......use them due to low self esteem........ and even on this board there are pp, IMO, who abuse steroids......... Moderation in anything is acceptable but somepp abuse steroids..... JMO
