TweetSounds like your pretty run down. If I'm not feeling well, little head cold and stuffy I will push through but if I had what your describing, I'm resting.
Tweeti am pissed and some what depressed. everything was clicking right along in my training and i catch a bad cold. gonna miss at least a week was gonna try and gut it out but feel like crap, not sleeping not able to breath well ,fever. so i just shut it down for a week, gonna rest as much as i can, try to eat everything in sight. so what do you guys do when sick? push thru or rest?

TweetMe, I rest the body. Fuzo, he plows through anything that is wrong with him, even if its just getting to the gym to ride the bike. All I can say is listen to your body

TweetI was going to post something like this today too. The last three days in the morning i have cold sweats, zero drive to get out of bed, been late to work at my new job. I dont understand whats going on. I do take medication that i havent changed. I think the T3 is adding to the sweating, i might cut that out. I havent lifted since friday
TweetI think when I'm sick my body is telling me to rest. However, if you don't get up and move around and stay somewhat active you might feel worse, or not get better as soon, at least that's what my wife always says. As for going to the gym though, I rather stay home so as not to get others sick.

TweetFor me it just depends on how sick. If I'm just feeling a mild cold, then I'll go ahead and push through it. But if I'm running a fever, I'll rest.
Tweetif do not feel good yah. bu i am realy sick no. it is a disrespectful, selfish, dick move to go to a gym and expose other people to your illness. if a doc says you are not contagious then OK unless you have a running nose and are coughing ect. nothing worse than seeing some dude/gal at the "snot" rack doing squats an you are waiting your turn and the bar is covered with a combo of sweat and mucus
TweetSame exact thing is happening to me right now, have to take a week off because i pushed my lower back a little too hard and it simply needs time to rest. I tried to force it for a few days, and eventually needed to just stop... I hate it.. im on day 4 right now.... ugh
TweetMe if its a cold yeah but flu no. Your body needs to recover from sicknesses and yes training is important it could run you down more and you need to get over shit quick to hit the weights faster again. Just saying IMO your body needs alot of power to fight a illness and it needs more to train. Attack one country at a time.
TweetLOL...Boogers all over the bar lol
TweetProbably better to sleep instead and fill up on all forms of plant matter
TweetWhen I'm sick I rest most I'll do is cardio to sweat it out
TweetI have trained sick but Iv found it's better just to let your body rest. I feel my results are better by chilling for a few days then going back and hit it hard kinda shocks the body, that's what I like to think anyway lol.
TweetIf I have a simple cold yes....if I'm seriously sick...no way. I go home...shut the windows...turn the tv off...and just sleeeeeep
Tweetthis is my 1st break from training (other than the week before a meet) in 18 months, even on vacation i always train, maybe not as hard, but still get it in. of course my joints are always hurting so i am hoping a week off cools the tendons some
