TweetMy kness had taken abuse because of HS and college baseball and i feel it more often now. I was a catcher for a good part of the time but also played second base. I've had to steer away from doing squats and even have pain from the sled.
i don't know how the pro's do it, must be alot of cortizone or something.
Tweetcatcher thats brutal on the knees.i would try the shower asap in morning but i cant walk at all for about half hr.

TweetIts been a hard life for the body... I am on a mixture of gabapentine vicodin and nortriptoline... some days are ok most are soso and sum are just a mother to get through......
TweetGood topic, I've had two surgeries from blowing my knees playing soccer and lately im feeling the bone on bone, gets worse the same as ya'll when the weather gets cold. I do notice that after I work it like in class doing forms it goes away a bit. As far as my gym training im kinda bummed really, I cut out barbell squats and deadlifts in fear of making things worse for me when I get older, I really liked impressing myself with the progress I was making doing them back in the day. I still stick to my freeweights allways will no beach balls or pullys for me but I do use the hack squat and extention till I find something else. Now I feel as im 46 im hitting the "Old Man" phase of gym workouts I dont have a heavy day and im working on the Frank Zane, Arnold Ol' Skool look instead of the maxed out look like Jay and Ronnie. Hey if I was back in my twenties sure but I've noticed that I feel and perform better when im not pushing into welter weight class, and my knees feel a hell of alot better. Training ? I wanna try going back to the Ol' skool keeping it simple like they did in training and diet no sucralose and red #40 pre workout powders and junk (kinda like doughnuts I love them but I cant really have them). I've replaced comercial beef with elk, store bought fish with fresh fish I catch myself and im also adding vegetables to my indoor garden. And also one more good cycle, my cholesterol is 220 so I guess I have to quit that to eventually. I just wanna do better with what lil I have ya know now that we're smarter and have tried just about everything by now ?

TweetWhen I do cardio I'm pretty creaky the next morning. Which is why I normally don't
Tweet52 and I am beat up. Years of lifting heavy slag iron has taken its toll, have had multiple surgeries and I am just beat up. Getting out of bed takes time and trying to chase a 10 month old just learning to walk kicks my butt as well. I know that if I don't keep moving that it will be the end, but some days it's just hard to get into the gym and train.
TweetKnock on wood, no major problems. Ran sprints a few days ago a nd had some left knee pain for a day or two after, but I think its because I am carrying extra weight and havent been sprinting enough lately. I suspect my fanatical supplementation regimen for the last 20+ years has been a big factor in keeping things from breaking down. I take enough supplements, herbs and antioxidants for 10 people LOL..
TweetOy...42 and feel 60 some days. Years of wear and tear have taken their toll, some wear and tear was ill advised if ya get me. Disks in back and neck are shot, knees hurt so bad some days I don't wanna climb the ladder at work, or work at all..lol. Listen to me ***** like an old man, haha. My kids keep me young at heart but I've been in a rut with training and I feel it. Time to get back at it or I'll be in a bad way. And since I was dieting for the last 7 months...I have fallen into the trap of stuffing my face with everything I can get my hands on, but I know how to fix that..lol
PAIN DON'T HURT
Tweetdam we are all beat the hell, one guy on post droped bb squatts i had to for awhile as i broke my femur in half that hurt ouch!. why do we continue to do this to our bodies , i cant speak for nobody else , but for me, i have muscle dysmorphia and i have to push the envelope to get bigger and bigger. i know my growth is all but done, i wont get any bigger but i just add weight to get bigger or cut to get the illision of being bigger. like anabolic said hes a hurting puppy in morning, i dont know how anabolic chases a 10 month old around. but thats love from a good man.
